- The labs stole my heart i was always amazed of the phyics lab and chem lab and after ding some experiments i was very happy
- Infrastructure is best as we have organised campus with food eateries and canteens .
Dislikes
- Getting no leaves for preparation between exams is the worst thing happening here
- The teaching is very bad by some of the research oriented professors.

- Kharagpur weather is not good over the year. Summer is very hot and with all the humidity its very sticky to live and study
- Very poor connectivity with any long transportation medium like airport or good railway station
Course Curriculum Overview:
Course curriculum is really best as it provides in dept knowledge of courses along with industry experience which is very much required in this competitive world to get a good job and building careers. Even though it is so good it's load is very less with five hour classes daily for five days a week. Just a tab of Bachelor of Science is what we do not like..

- I like facilities of societies, sports ,lab and other facilities for holistic development.
Placement Experience:
Fifth semesterstudents become eligible for campus placements .Coal India, Bharat Aluminium Company Limited ,Microsoft etc.companies are visited and highest package 2.5 crore and twenty six lakh average package.Around 80% of students getting placements

- Campus life - with over 2000 acres of campus and amazing greenery, and lot of places to go around and explore on campus with friends
- the people in IIT KGP - very helpful, amazing people. bonding with seniors is great, who are always ready to help us
Dislikes
- the management in general lacks responsiveness and accountability, especially hall management
- situation of food, especially hard for vegetarians (relative to non-veg) to find affordable quality and healthy options for food. and not to mention the dismal state of mess food
Placement Experience:
Placements are good. Top companies like Apple, Microsoft and Google do offer placements and PPOs to students. Students are eligible for placements in their final year. Highest offers go up to as high as Rs. 2 Cr or 4 Cr. About 750+ offers including PPOs were made during first few days of the start of the placement season this year in IIT Kharagpur. Overall placement percentage as been above 85%. Profiles of placements vary, including a good mix of both core companies and tech companies. I intend to pursue MS in Economics or MBA, depending on future interests.

- Cultural Diversity: There are people from every part of the country. Mixing with them and knowing them makes me feel good.
- Number of Societies/clubs: Name an interest, there is a society for it. There is full freedom to explore your passions.
Dislikes
- Number of people: There are 1800 freshers which increases competition manyfold. I dont say competition is bad, but it is a lot.
- Politics: During General Championships, and Elections for posts, there is a lot of politics being played here.
Placement Experience:
Students become eligile for placements in their final year. That is the second to last semister. The placements of our college is pretty good. This year stats are out. According to Awaaz IIT Kgp, 1353 offers were given to 1277 students with the highest on campus placement being a whopping 1.69cr/yr package. There are no details of the overall average package, but details are out for branch wise packages. For Economics, the highest package was 50.7 lakhs/year with the average being 20.6 lakhs/year and median being 17.4 lakhs/year. I currntly have no future plans but I want to stay in India and work for my country.
Likes
- The atmosphere in the campus is very good. Theres no ragging and you can reach out to anyone anytime.
- Its like a mini India inside. You interact with students fromevery part of the country and you learn a lot too.
Dislikes
- The older faculty are kind of shrewd. Sometimes they do t teach you as humans but machines.
- Talking to administration for problems is really difficult. They do listen to you but it takes time.
Placement Experience:
Campus placements are availed by students in 8th semester. Students of 6th Semester sit for internship during the placement drive too. This year 1353 jobs were offered to 1277 students . Highest was 1.7 crores excluding PPOs.

- Nice placements and the way they turn ous in facing difficulties
Dislikes
- As campus is huge we need to travel much to attend classes around 1.5km, so by walk it will be tough.
Placement Experience:
Internships could be taken from any year but placement will be starting from 4th year with minimal cgpa of 7.Various companies like Google, Microsoft visit our campus for placement.Highest package will be crossing 2.6CPA for 2022-23 and has offers for approximately 1600.

- The senior-junior relation in the colllege is very better.
- the society culture of iit kgp is the best thing here.
Dislikes
- there are a lot of students in the campus, which actually make things more competitive in a already competitive society
- the mess food is not up to the mark and really needs a upgrade

Placement Experience:
The placement process starts in the seventh semester and enough rounds of placements are conducted to get you a job. The jobs are offered in almost all roles, and around 80 percent students achieve a job.
Likes
- Guards. In Indian institute of technology Kharagpur Guards are very polite.
- The campus is very big and pretty and I am in love with the greenery present here.
Dislikes
- Very huge crowd since KGP holds a population of around 16K people.
- Mess food is not that good. You mostly have to starve yourself or eat outside
Placement Experience:
Placements are the sexiest thing about my college. Placements are the only thing our youth target for. Google, Microsoft, Facebook, Jane Street, Goldman Sachs are the companies, which offer placements around 1 CR per annum.

- The campus is quite good you will get an environment where their is a good bonding between your peeps
- The sports and tech events gives a lot of exposure to the students
Dislikes
- The acadmic is quite hectic you have to put extra effort to score well in tests
- As the campus is far away from any city so you have to travel to long way in case of emergency

Placement Experience:
For 5-year students, they sit for placement after their 9th semester and for 4-year students, it is after the 7th semester. The highest package goes this year was about 2.5 crore. The average package for the circuital branch is usually 25 lakhs and for other branches, it is approx 17-18 lakhs. Approx more than 90% of students got placed from those who sit for placements.
Remarks:
Dedicated to the service of nation, but not actually. All the people here are motivated by self interest. So establishment of the institute moto doesn't fullfil properly. Education is quite good as compared to other colleges in India.
