Do you want to be a part of Allahabad University?

Likes

The first thing I liked was the huge campus area of this university... As known as the "oxford of the east", this university offers unique old and sophisticated architecture when compared to other newly build universities....
The second thing I like and was amazed at knowing that attendance is not compulsory for BA students who're not having any practical exams... This provided a lot of relief for us students who're preaparing for government competitive exams...
The whole campus is filled with students preaparing for competitive exams so it provides a healthy and informative environment for BA students...

Dislikes

The low level of technological advancements and facilities provided to students is what I disliked the most... They should include one more year for research for us BA students as provided by other 1 tier universities...
The teachers could be more puntual on completing their syllabus on time.... University should also focus on creating placements and providing internships....
Basic emmenties like clean drinking water, washrooms specially for girls and canteen must be focused on....

Course Curriculum Overview:

The Allahabad university provides combination of 3 sujbects in a time duration for 3 years... And in which one has to be dropped in 3rd year....As already said I would like to have 1 more year of research at least for one subject... As someone who's preparing for civil services ,the subjects and curriculum would be a great advantage to them...

My Experience With Central University of Allahabad.

Likes

I overall liked the infrastructure of the university and varying faculties and associate colleges. Also the historic presence of the institution is unmatched being on of the oldest institution since 1887.
The faculties are superb and well trained professionals whether it's practical or theoretical class.
University consist of a central library which can be accessed by the students for their mental upliftment and having a sports board also gives opportunities for sport interactions.

Dislikes

Majorly the staff at procedural works are slow and does not provide that much satisfaction.
Institution doesn't have any overall closed campus which makes it a hackle for students .

Course Curriculum Overview:

University of Allahabad ranks in top of the institutions which provides psychology as a course with world class infrastructure and facilities. The course structure complies of 3 subjects with 1 as main and the other two as options . The length of the course stretches upto 3 years . And basic fee is around 4000 per annum

I am pursuing BA from Ewing Christian College and I can proudly tell some very interesting facts about the college
The behaviour of the professors and quality of the classes are very top notch, As well as there are many functions and programs are being conducted

Dislikes

There are always some good and some bad things everywhere

I have chosen B.A because I want to pursue government jobs. The teaching methods are very effective and understandable. The teachers are very helpful. The timing of the exams I dont like because in winter the timing of reporting is 7 am and in summer it is 1 pm so it should be reversed.

Likes

Nice infrastructer. The main building gives historic experience. The greenery in college and The garden is amazing.
Seperate courts and grounds for different sports.
Good environment for study. Teachers are very polite and cooperative.

Dislikes

Maintainance is needed in main building some renovation work is also needed.
Some department need to improve in their teaching techniques.
Practical and logical study is stil lacking not that much but it needs to be better.

I have choosen Economics Statistics and Mathematics combination for my graduation. This subject combination is very nice for those who wanted to pursue their higher studies with difficult and comprehensive subjects. Exams can be very difficult because all these subjects are better from one another but teachers keep it moderate and some sort of difficult also so that every one can easily handle the pressure.

Likes

Sports competiton are conducted on regular basis
Classrooms and benches are quiet good. Infrastructure is also good
Classes are comducted on regular basis and professors are highly qualified

Dislikes

Universities should be open to everyone but in this university you need to show ID card for entry
Canteens are closed here most of the times.

I liked political science very much . Also I was aware of the Alumni of Allahabad university which includes prime ministers, chief Ministers, presidents and governers. Exams are also conducted on yearly basis

Classes are held daily in the college and attendance is taken.
The environment of the college is good and discipline is important here, that's why I like this college.
Teachers come to class every day and teach well, teachers are also very disciplined and so are the children.

Dislikes

Proper marks are not given in the examination. The way we write copy and answer correctly, we do not get marks according to our hard work.
Good marks are not given even in practicals, teachers give good marks only to those whom they like.
The management system is not good, the canteen never opens and outside children also come and disturb them during play time.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My main reason for taking this course was that I will prepare for UPSC but after coming to this college, it seems that I will first get good marks in college and then prepare. Because here teachers don't give marks unless you give your complete deck.

About Ecc some Good and bad things .

Likes

Eco friendly environment there is library in our college good morning good environment and no ragging in college
Infrastructures are good teachers are very friendly students are very punctual in our college
The behaviour of teachers and students are very nice

Dislikes

Semester exam held so early in our college
Some faculty are poor and they are not cooperative in students
Sports faculty is not helping to children

Balancing strengths and challenges:

Likes

The college offers a diverse range of courses and program, catering to very academic interest and career aspirations.
The campus is beautifully maintained, with green spaces and a serene environmental that is conductive to both study and relaxation.
The faculty members are highly knowledgeable and supportive often going to extra mile to ensure student understand the material and excel in the study.

Dislikes

Due to the presence of goons and instances of bad behaviour their have been times when the overall sense of security on campus has been compromised.
There's no placement cell in the campus.
No hostel facility and canteen facility is also not available.

The curriculum is thoughtfully designed to cover both foundation and advanced topic in Each discipline and sharing a solid understanding of coal concept while also exploring specialise areas. Courses are regularly updated to reflect currents and development in the presentive feel in the continent to contemporary issues and advancement.

Expert teachers and well educated in studies and extra activities
Anti ragging squad and student welfare team always active

Ba and bsc department have well known and very qualified teachers even with doctorate degree and with the masters. Some teachers are the ex army whose run the NCC in the college. And he is also the Deen of the student welfare department.
