About Allahabad University
Allahabad University is the fourth oldest Public University in India after Calcutta, Bombay and Madras University. The university, also known as the Oxford of the East, has been declared an “Institute of National Importance”. Candidates seeking admission to Allahabad University must apply online for admission through the university’s official website. Payment for the application can be submitted in online mode only. The necessary steps to apply online for admission into Allahabad University are as mentioned below:

Allahabad University Entrance Exam 2024
Allahabad University Admissions to UG programs are based on the CUET-UG exam. However, for the BTech program, the University also accepts JEE Main scores. PG program admission to Allahabad University is based on Post Graduate Admission Test (PGAT) conducted by the University itself. However, for the MTech program, admissions are based on the GATE exam. Selections for Allahabad University PhD program are based on the CRET/ GATE/ UGC-NET Score.

Allahabad University Campus
Allahabad University Campus is Spread over the Land area of 232 acres in the city of Allahabad across the area of Old Katra and Bank Road. The major five faculties, namely Science, Arts, commerce, law, management & arts faculty housed at Allahabad University Campus provides advanced learning access to the students. It has numerous residential hostels for students. Some of the major Facilities of Allahabad University campus include:
- University Health Centre: For the medical welfare of students and employees of the University, one homeopathy doctor has been engaged at the Healthcare center of Allahabad University Campus. Two ambulances work as emergency facilities for the University. This facility is very useful when students or staff encounter a medical emergency at the campus.
- Central Library: The Allahabad University campus has a central library which is a rich learning source for both students as well as teachers. It offers subscription to 268 journals, out of which 137 are Indian and 92 are Foreign. The library provides E-Resource Access to 21,461+ e-journals and 14 e-databases approx.
- Computer Centre: This is a centralized facility offered at Allahabad University Campus to students and teachers of the university for assisting them in their research that organizes short-term courses or computerizing Department-wise activities.
- Hostel Facility: There are three separate hostels for boys and girls at Allahabad University Campus. These hostels are equipped with all basic facilities necessary for students. The hostel for international students is currently under construction.
- Athletic Association: This Association at Allahabad University campus works to promote physical well being of the University students in general. By providing facilities and opportunities for participating in game & sports and by organizing competition and tournaments the Association helps students improve their Mental and Physical wellbeing. So far, the Association has been able to achieve National and International level achievements.
- NCC: The National Cadet Corps (NCC) is a youth development movement of Allahabad University Campus. NCC provides opportunities to the students of Allahabad University for their all-round development. It aims to develop a sense of duty, commitment, dedication, discipline and moral values in the students so that they become able leaders and useful citizens. Allahabad University Campus has opened 4 NCC units. To provide opportunities to girls for opting NCC, University has opened 6 UP Girls Bn NCC Unit exclusively for girls’ cadets.
- Gandhi Bhawan: At Allahabad University campus there is a Mandapam for meditation, yoga, and spiritual hymns namely Gandhi Bhawan. The Gandhi Bhawan Conference Hall with a well-equipped audio-video system, for deliberation and discussion, can accommodate 60 people.

Admission:
Initially I only applied for this college only. University of Allahabad is known as 'Oxford of East' and of course studying here is indeed a privilege for me. Entrance examination is held for admission. Currently you've to fill the CUET for this.

- The parking space for the students is very smaal due to which students have to face the problems
- Teachres don't come on time they are friendly but they are always late

I choose this collage because it was i my city and it was a government collage so i don't have to go to collage everday and i can prepare for onther competitive exam.for admission u have to give UG exam and after u result collage will declare the cutoff and if u are under the cutoff u can take admission

- Centralised AC is also available in the class rooms and that's a relief in summer time.

- Some teachers should really look up to there teaching style as seeing some teachers I feel like that they don't want to teach but as it's there daily job so then they have to come.
- Teachers often come late for the class, like they take 15-20 mins extra time to come.

I took admission for this college through CUET examination. As this college is autonomous government college under University of Allahabad and it's really reputated also and I already know about the college that's why I choose this college

No i didn't apply to any other colleges because i can't go to other cities so I applied for allahabad University and I got this college and process was simple we have to take addmission from our cutoff in my college most preferred course is bcom and ba

- Clean and beautiful campus, Play ground, sitting space and some places to visit with friends
- All departments are are air-conditioned instead of labs of physics and chemistry department

- Toilet are not clean, only most used toilet are cleaned regularly
- Parking is available only in one gate and no parking for car's

I choose this college because living cost here in allahabad is low compared to Delhi and other fact is that I Missed my seat by not submitting the seat allotment money in time. I could have joined BHU but bsc was not my options.

I applied for numerous number of colleges and got admitted to 3 of the college in DU but the course offered was not satisfactory and parents didn't allow to go for those to be specific the course was ba and since I belong to business family thus not got the permission for the same.

- The ratio of boys and girls are compared to be equal all over the university because there are too many course and many departments and very high number of students are enrolled in the courses.
- The quality of infrastructure in the university is very good there are many old building and many new but the maintenance is of infrastructure is excellent

- Things is disliked is that the management of university is on paper work. Means that if you want to do something or to borrow something from university. First you have to do paper work that takes yours 2 to 3 days which delays in work
- There is always delay in work in at professional or personal level.
Admission:
First i take admission in Ramanujan college of Delhi University in b.com honours after the one month of admission i got admission in the Allahabad University in, integerated BBA MBA course 5years. In my opinion this course and college combination is better then that first one.

I chose the university because the Department is very good in the courses other than. A very good and experienced professor is present in the department. Lab and experimental classes are good. I got admission to the university by taking the university entrance exam.

- It doesn't have it's library we have to use other department library or use the central library.
Admission:
I also applied for b.voc course in Banaras Hindu University, varanasi and got accepted but got the south campus not the main campus but I got the main campus in University Of Allahabad so choose University Of Allahabad.No i didn't get rejected from other colleges because I didn't applied for many colleges. To get into my college you have to give CUET UG examination for Undergraduate programs and follow the councelling process and the cut-offs for admission.

Can I appear for end-semester exams if my attendance is less than 75% at Allahabad University?
No, students of Allahabad University will not be allowed to appear for their main exams if their attendance is less than 75%. However, there may be exceptions in some cases. Usually, Allahabad University students can appear for end-semester exams only if they have a minimum attendance of 75% or more in respect of classes delivered in each course separately. But in the cases given below, candidates are exempted from the minimum attendance requirement up to a certain percentage:
Exceptions for the non-fulfillment of minimum attendance requirement:
- If a student fails to fulfill this condition due to some unavoidable circumstances beyond his/her control like illness etc., attendance up to 20% will be condoned by the Dean/HOD on production of medical certificate/supporting documents on justified grounds.
- If a student represents his/her institution, university, state, or nation in sports, NCC, NSS, cultural or any other officially sponsored activities, he/she shall be eligible for relaxation of attendance up to 20% in a course based on the specific recommendations of the Dean/Head of the Department.

Yes, CUET scores are accepted for admission to UG Courses in University of Allahabad. The CUET Scores are accepted for BA/ B.Sc./ B.Com./ BFA/ BPA/ BALLB etc.
Allahabad University admission for UG & PG Programmes is based on various entrances like CUET, PGAT, CRET, GATE, and UGC-NET. Admission to UG courses such as B.A, B.Com, B.Sc, etc is based on the Common University Entrance Exam (CUET-UG) conducted by NTA.
