Allahabad University LLB admission 2024 is ongoing. Allahabad University has started counselling for LLB admissions. Allahabad University LLB Eligibility Criteria

In order to be eligible for LLB admission at Allahabad University, candidates must fulfil the following requirements:

• Any applicant who has graduated in a discipline of knowledge from a University established by an Act of Parliament or by a State legislature or an equivalent.
• The applicant who has obtained 10+2 or graduation or post graduation through the open university system directly without having any prior qualification for prosecuting such studies is not eligible for admission in the law courses.

Foreign Nationals: Non-Resident Indians (citizen of India domiciled abroad) who have graduated from a foreign University, shall not be required to appear in the Admission Test.

Candidates seeking admission to LLB must clear the Post Graduate Admission Test (PGAT), conducted by the university.

Allahabad University LLB Selection Process

The minimum score required by the candidates to qualify the admission test is as follows.

• General Category - 30% & OBC category – 27%
• However, there is no qualifying mark for SC/ST, PH, and EW/TW category students.
• Admission to Allahabad University or a constituent college thereof shall be made by the process of counseling.
• The candidates shortlisted in PGAT will be intimated for the counseling process where they will be submitting the required supporting documents along with the required fee.
• Students who have passed the eligibility examination for the year 2024-25 a deduction of 5% marks for every gap year from the total marks would be made. The maximum deduction would be 15%.

Allahabad University LLB Entrance Syllabus

For the Three year-long LL.B course, the candidates must appear for the Law Admission Test.

(LAT) comprising 150 questions of 300 marks. Each correct answer carries 2 marks.

The paper is divided into three sections each carrying 100 marks:

• Part I: Language Comprehension
  • Hindi: 25 questions
  • English: 25 questions 
• Part II: General Awareness & Current Affairs consisting of 50 questions 
• Part III: Reasoning, Mental Ability and Legal Aptitude 
  • Reasoning and Mental Ability: 25 questions 
  • Legal Aptitude: 25 questions

Allahabad University LLB Admit Card

The candidates must download their Admit Cards one week before the Entrance Test.

Note: The foreign/ NRI candidates/ candidates exempted from appearing in the Law Admission Test should fill the application form through a separate procedure.

Candidates can apply for admission in the UG LAW course by registering at www.aupravesh.com

Candidates must log on to the university website and follow the given steps:

• Candidates should fill the application form online with all the relevant information.
• Upload the academic documents.
• Next, the student should submit the application fee through the online payment modes available on the portal.(e-banking/credit card/debit card).
• Candidates must save the generated registration number and keep a print out of the complete application form.
• The registered candidates can appear in LAT only after downloading the admit card

All applications for the Test shall be provisional. If the candidate has filled in any wrong information, his admission may be canceled at any stage.

Candidates whose name is in the Merit or Waiting list must bring the following documents-

• Requisite Fee
• Required Photographs
• The original and Self-attested photocopies of marksheets/certificates mentioned in the application form.

Admission shall not be given to the candidates in the absence of any of the required documents.
