IMU Chennai Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

From semester 4th onward cadets are eligible for campus placements. companies like mersk,msc, nyk, fleet management, Anglo eastern, mol , synergy, thome , bsm. placement is about 90% in this college. Package is totally depend of the company in which you are selected. 90% cadets get placed every year. Plans after getting my degree is to sail all around the world.

The placements in T.S chanakya are good and is around 80%. The cadets become eligible for placements from 2 year. The companies visiting our campus are Synergy, FML, Thome shipping, NYK, MOL, chevron and anglo eastern.The salary depends upon company to company and ship to ship.

For my course the placement is already done and students are pre-placed hence we don't need to attend any interviews and written test after we have joined the course. As far as package is considered the package is quite high. The percentage of students thus placed is 100% as they are pre-placed. After getting the degree we need to go on the ship for training.

After first year you are eligible for placements. The major companies that visits our college are Maersk tankers, Nyk, Stena shipping, Fleet management, TK shipping The highest pacakge goes to 24 lakhs per annum and average will be 15 lakhs per annum Now the placement percentage comes down . As per latest figure only 50% manage to get placement offers Now i am a working professional in Maersk Line and planning to do mba after some years

The students studying here become eligible for campus placements in the final year of their degree. It's in the seventh semester of Btech. Many number of companies offer placements here like Maersk, British Petroleum, ESM, MSC, etc. The average package for the job is around 1 lakh starting per month at junior levels which is more than enough. 100% of students get placements and there is not a single student who doesn't. My plans after getting my degree are to complete my internship and study for further level promotions in my field.

As of now, the placements record are very bad for BTech (me) in the Chennai campus as it has just started. Basically, placement starts from the 3rd year but we haven't gotten any opportunities. Companies like SCI, fleet, come but don't give many placements as there are designated colleges like Kolkata and Mumbai.

Esm is the management company and the owner has opened the college so directly placement is done to the company on successful completion of the course, packages are same for everyone as they improve by posts and for same post same salary is there, for eg 700$ for the trainee that is 5th engineer onboard for each month no salary when not on board, 100% placement on successful completion.

placement in our college is good. About 70% of students get placed as per the job situation its good number. many reputated companies like NYK,Maersk tanker, Thome, Teekay tankers etc comes in our college.

The admission procedure was so smooth like everything was well managed properly, the admission criteria included 60% as an average in PCM, and the age requirement to join was a minimum of 18 and a maximum of 21. The admission process was completely done through a seminar clearing out all short doubts, rules and regulations to be followed and many more
