Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) Ludhiana is the oldest university in the field of Agricultural Education. It was established in 1962. It offers UG, PG and Ph.D. courses in different specializations. Application forms can be filled online or can be obtained in person or by post.
- PAU Ludhiana conducts the Common Entrance Test (CET) followed by counselling to offer admission in B.Sc (Hons.) courses except for B.Sc (Architecture/ Fashion Designing).
- Candidates have to appear in the national level Architecture Aptitude Test (AAT) to secure admission in B.Sc (Architecture) program.
- For B.Sc in Fashion Designing, the candidates have to appear in Design Aptitude Test (DAT) conducted by NID.
- B.Tech and Integrated M.Sc admissions are also based on the score in CET except for B.Tech in Agricultural Engineering for which a valid score in JEE Main is mandatory.
- For M.Tech, MBA, MCA (Regular+Lateral), MJMC and M.Sc courses, PAU conducts MET followed by an interview.
- Ph.D. admission is based PAU Written Test and Interview. Although, ICAR qualified candidates are directly eligible for the interview round.

PAU Ludhiana B.Sc & B.Tech Admission 2024
PAU serves various undergraduate programs such as B.Sc and B.Tech in various specializations. Candidates seeking admission to B.Sc (Hons.) need to appear in CET conducted by PAU except for B.Sc in Architecture and Fashion Designing. For B.Sc in Architecture, the candidates have to appear in AAT conducted by IITs.
For B.Sc in Fashion Designing aspiring candidates have to attend DAT conducted by NID which is held specially to determine the design abilities of aspirants.
B.Tech admission is also based on CET by PAU except for B.Tech in Agricultural Engineering for which the candidates have to qualify in JEE Main followed by counselling.

PAU Ludhiana PG Admission 2024: M.Tech, MBA. MCA, M.Sc & MJMC
At PG level, PAU offers M.Tech, MBA, MCA, M.Sc and MJMC in different disciplines. Apart from regular courses, the university also offers MCA (Lateral Entry) and Integrated M.Sc.
Admission is based on the score in MET conducted by PAU followed by an Interview. Admission to M.Tech in Remote Sensing and GIS is done on the basis of an interview round for the shortlisted candidates. CET qualified candidates are eligible to apply for Integrated M.Sc program.

PAU Ludhiana Ph.D. Admission 2024
Admission to Ph.D. is based on the Written Test conducted by PAU and Interview. The minimum eligibility criteria is Master’s degree in the relevant discipline form a recognized university.
ICAR qualified candidates are directly eligible for admission to any Bachelor’s/ Master’s or Ph.D. program. Such candidates have to provide their testimonials at the time of Interview/ Counselling.

- Performance in the entrance exam – 80% (60% MCQ +20% Subjective)
- Masters’ Research by Thesis & Quality of Thesis – 10%

- Fill the application form and pay the application fee of INR 5320 by Credit/ Debit Card or through Net-Banking or Challan.
- Take the printout of duly filled form and send it to the below mentioned along with the transaction statement:

I choose this college my university nirf 1st rank among state agricultural university and 3rd among national level agricultural university. I want to take admission in this college only and i got that. admission is after 10th through AAT exam and after 12th [ from medical/non medical stream only] through CET exam.

well to be honest I have not applied to any other college as i just want do bsc agriculture in this university. but due to my rank i was unable to selected for takinf admission in bsc agriculture. so i preferred this degree over it as due to update academic ( bsc horticulture & forestry consider same as bsc agriculture) which help in making eligible for giving paper of ADO( agriculture development officer) . As to take admission in this university under this degree first u have to give paper CET( common entrance test) on the basis of number optain ranking is given( in this test 11th & 12 th syllabus comes , mcqs. Omr sheets have to be filled at the time of paper. well cuts goes near about 600 rank from 250 on ward as 2-3 councilling are conducted. well my experience about the admission was not so good as i got admission in this program in 3rd councelling.

For BSc Agriculture Hons. , two tests are there to get admission:
If you want to get into PAU after 10th AAT ( Agricultural Aptitude Test ) is there - every year held in june or july. : can be easily cleared with 2 months of study , the questions asked are from the syllabus you study in 9th 10th standard along with general agriculture questions from the PSEB books for Agriculture ( Class 6th to 10th )
Those who want to go for BSc Agri Hons. after 12th can appear for CET ( Common Entrance Test ) : It is pretty much easier as compared to NEET or JEE.

For me, i chose this college due to my keen intrest in agriculture and due to close proximity of campus from my residence. The college has alot to offer in terms of agriculture. I applied for 2 colleges, One being PAU and other GNDE ludhiana, i chose this as the course i study here has strongly acknowledged in india as well as abroad.

PAU Ludhiana is the best agricultural university in Punjab and it has rank second from ICAR which make it too special. There are very limited seats in this university so no one can take admission in this university easily even I gave an entrance exam which is also too difficult for taking admission in the university in Punjab there are no such other other colleges which are better than this college.

Pau has been ranked number 1 Agricultural university in the whole Asia twice which makes it more evident to go for PAU only
Admission process is super easy there is an entrance exam which is normal general knowledge and a little about agriculture once you clear it you go for the councelling which takes place in the university itself after checking your documents your admission is approved and you are good to go for this World class University
