Should you pick MA Political Science at LPU?
This course suits students who want civil services, teaching or research, and who can pay the fee or earn a merit scholarship.
Pick it if:
You want a career in public life: LPU lists civil services, public policy, governance, teaching and research as the main paths from this course.
You did not take a PG entrance exam: LPU gives this seat on your graduation marks, so you can still join without a test score.
You scored well in graduation: your marks alone decide the merit scholarship, and it stays for all four semesters under LPU's terms.
You want to know the top pay first: the highest offer for this course was INR 10 LPA, and more than 50 recruiters take part.
Skip it if:
You want a sure company job after the course: LPU publishes only the top offers here, so most students plan for exams, teaching or research.
You cannot buy a laptop: LPU says a laptop is compulsory for this course, along with a textbook for each subject and a uniform.
You will pay the fee late: the next semester's fee is due before the current semester's classes end, so keep the money ready a term ahead.
You want a special track or elective: LPU offers a track or elective only when enough students pick it, so ask in writing before you pay.
Counsellor's advice
If your graduation marks are 70% or more, apply early and lock the scholarship with the first fee. If they are lower, sit LPUNEST first, because a good score can still cut your fee.

In short
Chandigarh University charges the same programme fee, ranks higher in NIRF and can waive the full fee for top marks. If your graduation marks are 90% or more, compare both offers in writing and take the lower net fee.
In short
Amity University Noida ranks higher in NIRF but costs more over the course, even after its foundation scholarship, and it selects through an interview. If you want Delhi NCR and can pay more, it is worth a look; if the fee matters most, take LPU.
In short
Sharda University asks for the same 50% but costs a little more and ranks much lower in NIRF. If you are choosing between the two, LPU gives you the better rank for less money.
In short
Galgotias University costs less over the course even with its higher exam fee, but its NIRF rank is not published. If the lowest fee is your goal, check its full fee in writing; if you want a ranked university, take LPU.

FAQs on LPU MA Political Science
Straight answers to what students ask before they decide.
Is MA Political Science at LPU worth the fee?▾
Yes, if you have a clear goal. The full fee without hostel is INR 2.24 Lakhs, and a merit scholarship can take up to INR 1.20 Lakhs off it. LPU publishes only the highest offer, INR 10 LPA, not a batch average. So judge the course by your plan for civil services, teaching or research, and check your scholarship in the calculator above before you pay.
What job can I get after this course?▾
Most students aim for civil services, public policy, governance, teaching and research, the paths LPU lists for this course. The highest offer was INR 10 LPA and more than 50 recruiters take part. A company job is not the usual path, so plan an exam or a PhD alongside the course from the first semester.
Who should not take this course at LPU?▾
Skip it if you want a sure company job right after the course, because LPU publishes only the top offers here. Skip it too if you cannot buy a laptop, which LPU says is compulsory. If your graduation marks are below 50%, you cannot join this year. If none of these fit you, the course can suit you.
Should I sit LPUNEST even though it is not needed for the seat?▾
Yes, if your graduation marks are below 95%. The seat comes on your marks, but a good LPUNEST score can move you into a better scholarship category. A Category A score cuts the programme fee by 60%. Book your test slot early, because the good dates fill first.
Is this course good for civil services preparation?▾
Yes, the subjects help. The course covers political theory, governance, public policy and international relations, which match a large part of the civil services syllabus. But the course does not coach you for the exam. If that exam is your goal, keep your own study hours from the first semester.
Is this course right for a PhD or a teaching career?▾
Yes. LPU says this course suits students who plan doctoral study and research careers. Use your project work to build a research sample you can show later. If you plan a PhD or college teaching, also prepare for UGC NET during the course, because it opens both paths.
Should I take this course if my graduation marks are just 50%?▾
You can, since 50% is the minimum. But at that score your marks earn no merit scholarship, so you pay the full INR 2.24 Lakhs without hostel. Sit LPUNEST first, because a Category D score still cuts the programme fee by 30%, which saves INR 60,000 over the course.
Should I take the hostel or live outside?▾
It depends on where you live. The cheapest room adds INR 1.44 Lakhs and the mess adds INR 90,000 over two years, so the total goes to INR 4.58 Lakhs. If your home is close, living there saves that money. If not, book the cheapest shared room early.
How do I get admission to this course?▾
Fill the online form on the LPU admission portal. LPU checks your graduation marks and offers the seat if you have 50% or more. Sit LPUNEST only if you want a scholarship on your score. Then pay the first semester fee by the last date of admission and report with your original papers.
Can I pay the fee in parts?▾
Yes, you pay semester by semester. The programme fee is INR 50,000 a semester and the exam fee is INR 5,000 a semester. Each next semester's fee is due before the current semester's classes end, so keep the money ready a term ahead.
Will the fee go up in the second year?▾
No, not for the programme fee. LPU says the programme fee stays the same for the whole programme, and your scholarship stays too, under its terms. So INR 2.24 Lakhs without hostel is the full course cost at the 2026 fee. Check the 2027 fee notice when it comes out before you pay.
The college is recognized for its highly qualified faculty, all holding master's or PhD degrees, who foster an engaging and understandable learning environment. It boasts a strong placement record, with over 600 companies providing more than 2000 job offers. The average salary package is 6 LPA, with the highest reaching 54 LPA.
About 80-90% of students secure placements, with eligibility starting in the last semester. The college also offers robust internship opportunities with stipends up to 15,000 per month, featuring top companies like Microsoft and Infosys. Financial flexibility is supported by semester-wise fee payment options and available scholarships.

Which is better for Computer Science LPU or Amity Gwalior?
SatnamB.Tech CSE student at LPU
I am currently pursuing B.Tech CSE at LPU. According to me, LPU is one of the best institutes for BTech in Computer Science because of its excellent academics, top placements, scholarship facility, and more.

LPU offers scholarships to its students based on their percentage in the qualifying exam or LPUNEST or in the form of financial aid, and more.
LPU offers various skill development programs, professional training, and opportunities for industrial exposure to its students.
When a student chooses a university, they must consider factors such as academic environment, faculty, placement opportunities, ranking, industrial exposure, professional training, infrastructure, etc. So according to these factors, I can say BCA at LPU is better than IMS Ghaziabad.

Does LPU offer an undergraduate degree in paramedical studies? How can I get admission into it?
ShrutiBSc in MLT at Lovely Professional University
At the undergraduate level, LPU offers a BSc. in Medical Laboratory Technology (B.Sc. MLT) which is a three year paramedical undergraduate program that trains students for a career as Medical Laboratory Technicians.
For admissions into this program at LPU, the candidates must clear their 10+2 with 60% aggregate (with English, Physics, Chemistry and Maths/Biology/Biotechnology as core subjects). For admission to this course, you must clear LPUNEST or CUET. The university also offers a Diploma in Medical Lab Technology (DMLT).
I hope this answered your query regarding paramedical courses offered at LPU on the undergraduate/diploma level.
