LPU has a different fee structure for national and international students for the credit transfer program. I have listed the fee for the credit transfer program for you below.

As per my knowledge, the expected LPUNEST 2024 cutoff for the BTech course is 150 to 300 marks out of 400. 

LPU offers every year the National Entrance and Scholarship Test (LPUNEST) for around 150+ courses. Every year more than 75,000 students join the LPUNEST exam. Apart from the LPUNEST exam, LPU accepts CUET or JEE Main score for BTech admission.

The mechanical engineering branch is the best BTech branch at LPU. BTech Mechanical Engineering is a 4-year course in 8 semesters at LPU. Aspirants must qualify the class 12th with 60% aggregate marks in Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, and English. 

High-quality Engineering education is provided by the LPU to prepare students for successful careers. Amazon, Apple, Google, Bosch, Cognizant, and XEbia are the top companies that have collaborated with LPU to hire engineering students.

BTech seat intake for the general category in LPU is 480. The BTech program at LPU is a 4 years program offered by LPU at the UG level. To gain admission to the BTech program candidates need to pass class 12th with 60% marks.

Yes, LPU has programs for students like you who are interested in exploring opportunities in universities abroad. The university has implemented a credit transfer program through which you can pursue half of your BTech degree in a foreign university. It has collaborated with more than 200 universities to facilitate this process. 

Semester exchange programs, exposure programs and master’s abroad programs are some other avenues by LPU to help students pursue education in foreign universities. 

There are many Canadian universities that LPU has collaborated with that you can choose according to your BTech specialisation and career focus. The college you choose for pursuing your dream career hardly matters. Your dedication hard work towards your goal and laser focus on earning all aspects of the subject is what matters. You are the one who has to deal with the college curriculum and perform. 

However, when it comes to pursuing BTech, LPU is a good college. It is one of the best private universities in the country. LPU’s Btech courses are diverse and provide students with the right knowledge that helps them to grab placement opportunities at top companies. LPU’s BTech CSE curriculum is a good choice and it gives an edge to the students compared to their peers. Attending classes is mandatory and you should keep this in mind. If you are an irregular student and looking for a college that does not mind students not attending the classes, then LPU is not the right college for you. 

No, to secure admission to a BTech course at LPU, you are required to clear the LPUNEST entrance exam. LPUNEST is the university entrance exam conducted by LPU to provide admission to its various courses.

For BTech, you should have a minimum of 60% marks in physics, chemistry and mathematics/biology from a recognised board. After class 12, you should focus on qualifying LPUNEST to get selected. LPU used to offer admission to its BTech courses based on JEE Main score but now it has stopped.

You can use your 75% JEE Main score to secure a scholarship at LPU. The university offers attractive scholarships to exceptional students or those with good scores in entrance exams.

For fee structure without any scholarships, the total cost of B.Tech at LPU is INR 11.20 Lakhs. Other than the tuition fee, the students also have to pay around INR 44,000 as hostel fees. The hostel fee is calculated based on the first year/semester. If all the amount is calculated, students have to pay around a total of INR 15.60 lakhs to pursue BTech at LPU including hostel charges.

The total fee for BTech depends on the student's performance in the LPUNEST exam. The university offers heavy discounts to students with good scores that bring down the total cost by large numbers. Students with exceptional records can expect their entire tuition fee covered by the university. LPU has allocated over INR 100 crores of amount to students as scholarships.

The majority of B.Tech classes last for one hour each. However, some courses, particularly those involving coding languages, might be longer, extending to two hours per session.

Most B.Tech classes at LPU begin at 9:00 am.

These numbers vary from year to year, but to provide you with a fair image, around 1000 students, on average, change their branch in B. Tech at LPU.

There might be some flexibility for changing BTech programs on admission day at LPU, but it's not guaranteed. Here's why: 

1. Limited Spots: Each B.Tech program has a specific number of available seats. If the program you're interested in is already full, switching on admission day wouldn't be possible.
2. Verification Process: Changing programs might require additional verification of your eligibility for the new program. This could involve checking your grades or entrance exam scores Before your admission day, reach out to the LPU admissions department. Explain your interest in switching programs.

For the 2021 graduating batch, there were about 6,000 students in b.tech cse/it only. Although there are a lot of admissions for B.Tech CSE, around 6000-8000, the university efficiently manages this with its highly qualified staff and proper division of strength into different sections. So, there is no need to worry. And for BTech courses, including all the branches, there are more than 20,000 students.

You must appear for LPUNEST (Lovely Professional University National Entrance and Scholarship Test) to get admission into the University. There are regular schedule cancelling, which is solely based on LPUNEST scores, and special schedule cancelling, where JEE MAINS or LPUNEST scores are considered. However, LPUNEST will also help provide scholarships to students of different ranks. Therefore, it is the preferable mode of getting admission into the university.

I did my BTech from LPU in 2023. I can say it is one of the top private universities to do BTech. I say this because of 3 main reasons:
