Hostel facility was good and clean. Ebery morning the housekeeping would come and clean the hostel rooms. There were different sections of rooms like 6 bedded, 4 bedded, 2 bedded, 1 bedded. There were also options for ac rooms as well. I was in AC duct room. Now they have installed central heating. Hot water was available. Food was average. If you wamt to opt for hostel you just have to fill a form and they will put you in one of the hostels. You can also change your hostel as per your requirement. In last semester i shifted to a flat nearby. The locality is mohali. There are lots of options for flats within a range of 2 km there as well

The campus has five girls' hostels - Sukhna, Tagore, LC, Shivalik and Govind - and two large boys' hostels-NC and Zakir, each divided into multiple blocks. Having lived in the hostel for two years, I found that while the hostels themselves are not great, the food in the mess can be worse. The quality of food is inconsistent, sometimes okay but often bad, and in some cases, students have even experienced food poisoning. The rules in the hostels differ significantly for boys and girls. Girls are required to return to their hostels by 8:30 pm, after which attendance is taken. Any night-outs require parental permission, and while day-outs are allowed, girls nust return by 6pm, in the summer and 5pm in the winter. In contrast, boys have far fewer restrictions. While their attendance is also taken between 7:30 and 8:30 pm, they are allowed to stay out on campus all night and can even leave the campus after attendance without needing any special permissions.
