The day-to-day Functions of TISS Mumbai Hostel are handled by the Warden / Section Officer.

Guests or Parents of Hostel Residents are permitted to stay in Hostel for specific reasons upon Payment of Applicable Charges. Guests would require prior written permission from the concerned authorities, such as Warden / Section Officer.

What are the consequences if I lock my room and leave for Home during vacation at TISS Mumbai Hostel?

If you lock your room and leave for home during vacation at TISS Mumbai Hostel, all the residents of that room will be charged INR 180 per day for the entire vacation.

Are Mess facilities included in the Hostel?

Yes, Dining facilities are included in the Hostel.

Can I stay in the TISS hostel if I am a resident of Mumbai?

No, Hostel facilities are not available for the residents of Mumbai.

Is Cooking allowed in the Hostel at TISS Mumbai?

Cooking in the Hostel Room at TISS Mumbai is strictly prohibited. If found, a penalty of INR 3,000 or expulsion from the Hostel, or a combination of both, will be imposed.

Are there any time restrictions imposed at TISS Mumbai Hostel?

Yes, time restrictions are imposed at TISS Mumbai Hostel. All Hostel Residents are required to return to the Campus by 12:30 AM and they are not allowed to leave the Campus between 12:30 AM to 6 PM.

What is Gender Neutral Hostel at TISS Mumbai?

TISS Mumbai has a Gender Neutral Hostel allocated on the ground floor of Hostel Neem. This Hostel will be provided to Transgender, Non-binary Identifying and Gender Non-conforming students.
