IIT Bombay Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

Students can become eligible for placement without PPO(Pre placement offer) from the 7th semester and if they get PPO then from the 5th or 6th semester itself. The highest package this year till now is above 2 crores and the average package is 22.7 lakh. Around 80 percent of students were placed. I plan to go for higher studies after getting the degree.

Students are eligible for placement from the starting of seventh semester.also there are lot more pre-placements offers in the third year also. Almost all companies visit the campus for recruitment. Highest package is from CS department of about 2.5 crores and median is around 18 lpa. Almost 95% students get placed on an average in a particular year. My plan is to look for placement or maybe go for higher studies.

The placement scenario of IIT Bombay is very good. Around 100 per cent of students get placed in very good packages. Many students also get internships at the end of their 6th sem. The average package of IIT Bombay last year was 25 LPA.

Mainly 4th year students are eligible for placements and thirties do their internships. Many companies visit iitb including Microsoft, Amazon, Google, Tata motors, Bajfinace, BCG etc. The highest package varies every year with 1.5 cr + definitely placed from past 3 years. The average package is 22.7 lpa Around 70% of students get placement while others start their own startups. I will choose to get into the consulting field after getting my degree

The curriculum is revamped this year and the course has been made more flexible. The chemical engineering department at IIT Bombay has produced some of the best engineers in the country but most students opt for non-core placement in the field of finance, consultancy, etc. Overall the environment is good.

This course is really good for further learning and growth. Faculties are really nice and friendly. Faculties are highly qualified with most of them having their own Wikipedia pages. Exams are held at regular intervals and some of them are pretty difficult to pass

The campus placements happen after the end of the penultimate semester. The average package is rising. Roughly around 400-500 companies arrive in the placement season and the hiring rate is over 80 percent making it an incredible record.

Campus placements are there in the 7th semester of B-Tech people. A lot of companies come during the 2 phases of placement. The first phase goes on for 15 days in Dec. Around 90% of the students get placed.

Placements are good. Almost everyone got a placement or start their start-up and someone goes for higher education. Companies like Airbus Honeywell come for placement. The average package is 12 lakhs per annum.

The highest package is around 2 Cr and the average package is around 16 lakhs, Profiles offered are software Developers, consultancy, Logistics, and Analytics. Nearly 90% of students get placed. I plan to pursue Higher Studies Abroad.
