RGPV Course Admission 2025: Dates, Fees, Eligibility, Application Process, Selection Criteria

The Bachelor of Engineering (Computer Science and Engineering) program at Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya (RGPV) primarily admits students based on their performance in the JEE Mains entrance exam. A suitable rank in JEE Mains is necessary, with percentiles around 80 considered moderate for securing a preferred branch, although reserved category students may have lower cutoff ranks or scores. Eligibility requires candidates to be Class 12 graduates with at least 60% in the science stream.

Admissions also happen through the MPDTE counseling, initiated post-JEE Advanced results, generally taking 1-2 months. Application fees are approximately Rs 1200 for general candidates, while reserved categories have varied fees like Rs 500 for SC students. There are reservation benefits for ST, SC, and OBC candidates and state government scholarships such as the MMVY. The process is largely conducted online, with counseling sessions to finalize college and branch selections. While some students encounter technical issues during the online application phase, direct admissions via college channels are possible, involving initial payments to reserve seats.

RGPV does not extend reservation benefits for the general category, and admissions may be achieved through management quota based on directly contacting the college’s counseling department.
