IIM Kozhikode Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

At IIM Kozhikode, placements for students in their final-year commence in the second year. There are about 120 companies that are participating, some of which are consulting giants like BCG, Bain, and Accenture Strategy. Leading companies from BFSI( Goldman Sachs, Citibank), FMCG( Nestle, HUL), IT(Amazon, Microsoft), etc visit regularly. In 2023, the highest package that was offered was INR 67 LPA, while the average package stood at INR 31 LPA.

The summer placement drive is held in the First trimester. The institute has mandated an 8-week internship to graduate to 2nd year. Lateral placements are conducted for students who have more than 24 months of work experience. In the second year, final placements are conducted. During the first year of college students sit for the Summer internships interview process and during the second year students sit for final placements. All students from the course are eligible for both summers and finals.

I chose this course since I am interested and have relevant work experience in the same. The faculties are quite knowledgeable and follow a dynamic methodology to drill down concepts in students. Exams are held in a timely manner, with only a few courses a little difficult

Courses in the first year are the same for the whole batch while one has to select various electives depending on their preferences. The faculty-student ratio is roughly 1:9. Faculty is very well-qualified and experienced.

There is 100% placement for MBA courses with an average salary of around 20 lakh per annum. Last year students would be eligible for placement sessions. Many reputed companies like BCG, JP Morgon & chase, etc would be visited on our campus.
