- I like the teachers like dr.sheena she is one of the best teacher here .
- Placements and internship opportunities are good. research support is also very strong. bangalore is nearby hence a lot of companies visit for campus placements
- Fees are somewhat high but a lot of scholarship opportunities are there for students, especially college fee is free for those whose annual income is less than one lakh and third for those less than five lakhs
Dislikes
- There was a lack of transparency while choosing college hostel.
- Hostel food is not good, actually veg mess food is not good at all
- There are not lot of thing which i dislike its just two which i mentioned above.

- The campus is of approx 300 acres, lush green and has its own private beach, the NITK beach.
- Lab facilities are decent, we have Central Research Facility were all sorts of advanced machines and softwares are there.
- Faculties are good. Placements are really good. All top MNCs come to campus for recruitment. Highest CTC can go upto 60 lpa.
Dislikes
- Some faculties may not be very good with their teaching method
- Overall infrastructure is decent but it can be better especially the hostel rooms.
- Resolving some basic issues like fan, tubelight water supply takes a lot of time.

Course Curriculum Overview:
I chose Mtech Thermal Engineering because I was interested in thermal subjects like Fluid mechanics, Heat transfer, CFD. The Curriculum is pretty decent and it does covers the fundamentals and advanced topics of the particular subject but it could be better in terms of imparting practical and industrial knowledge. The exams that are held in NITK are competitive and requires a good understanding of the subject. You simply cannot cram and get good marks in exam. You have to know the proper implementation of that particular formula or theory.

- The central library where we have access to many book
Dislikes
- Healthcare facility which I think needs improvement
- Hostel mess food which I dislike about that that should be improved
- Water problem proper maintenance is not there which I think needs improvement
Placement Experience:
This college is known for their placement.placement are very good in this college where companies come frequently.the verage package that are offered in our department is 800000 per year which is pretty good as compared to other college the percentage of students getting placed is 90%.my plans after getting degree is to have a good job or else go for phd

Placement Experience:
As I already told placement is good. Just try to keep your CGPA above 7.5-8 and you will be able to sit for hiring of all companies and rest be prepared with your DSA and core CSE concepts, Placement season is hectic but good and worthy. Few of the recruiters were Western Digital, Qualcomm and Samsung Semiconductors.

- The teachers are very knowledgeable and they teach us very well
- Nature is also very good. We have beach also in the college premises.
- Hostel maintenance, cleanliness, security staff all things are very good
Dislikes
- Mess food is not goodb. It is below average
- Fees is also very high. They take fees of one semester as 6 month but semester is completed in 3-4 months . And they not refund the left money.
- Some buildings are too old without ac and speakers. Students can't hear teacher's voice well.
Placement Experience:
I am sharing about my branch that is geotechnical engineering. In my branch placement is about 100%. I am saying about because all of my seniors are placed but 2 of them get placement by their own.
CDC department work very well .

- The college environment is good for the study . Here you you will get so many opportunities to learn new things. You will make good friends circle. Who will be always there for you at any situation
- Hear you can be part of so many different clubs. You can learn new things apart from study also you can follow you passion along with doing study
- Hear you will able to enjoy so many technical and cultural fest which happens every years at the time of January and October. Also you will able to enjoy some celebrity moment on the fest
Dislikes
- Only thing that I dislike was that hear even sem get shorter than the odd sem due to shortage of water at the time of summer
Placement Experience:
After 2nd sem student gets eligible for campus placement. In last sem Samsung ,Qualcomm , analog devices, Texas instruments, AMD,Marvel,ARM , Cdot so many companies visited for the placement, highest package was arround 35 lpa which is offered by analog devices, profile was analog engineer average package is near about 15-18 lpa . Till now 50-60 % student get placed . In 2022 the placement percentage was 80-90 % due to inflation the companies deceases recruitments . That's why now our college is allowing for 11 months internship that's why in our batch almost 60% student gets the internship offer which was less at the time of our seniors so may be this year placement percentage gets increased to 80-90 % .. my plan is simple just take the placement from the campus as 60% student already gets the internship so there will be less completion so there will be more chances to get the placement

- College placement as compare to others is good
- Apart from academic there is so many thning to enjoy, like fest sports
- Some faculty are too good and some are not at good
Dislikes
- Course curriculum is not that much updated only 2 3 subjects are relevant others simply waste of time
- Weathere is too bad, too much temperature humidity and all
- Hostel food is not good, actually veg mess food is not good at all
Placement Experience:
From 2nd semester we are eligible to get internships so along with so many students can get ppo.
No of companies visited all are there in nitk website but placement is good.
In my course highest placement is 10lac and lowest 4.5 and average 5-6lac
In my course around 85-90% students get placed.
I wanted to job in pharmaceutical companies

- The faculties are very supportive and well qualified.
- The campus has its own private beach a very soothing and calming location to go in the evening.
- Laboratories and all the technology infrastructure are high end to work on your projects and other activities.
Dislikes
- The mess food is somewhat annoying to the students coming from the north india region.
- They do not allow any outside food delivery guys to enter the campus you will have to go to the gate to pick it up.
- Some canteens are there inside the campus itself you can order the food from there till 3 am in night.
Placement Experience:
From 3rd semester the placement session starts.
Average package is quite a good about 12lpa in the current scenario.
About 80-90 percent students get placed every year from the college itself and also some students goes to higher studies.
My plan is to get a placement after completion of my degree.

- I love the campus of NITK, beach makes it so beautiful, and overall green campus
- Schedule of class is also smooth, i dont feel a hectic atmosphere
- NITK provides a conductive environment for holistic development, fostering academic excellence, research, innovation.
Dislikes
- The coastal location of NITK means that it experiences hot and humid weather for a significant part of the year
- For students coming from different parts of the country or abroad, adjusting to the language and culture in karnataka might pose a challenge initially
- The accademic rigor at NITK can be demanding, which may not suit students who prefer more relaxed and flexible
Placement Experience:
In m.tech from 3rd sem students become eligible for placements, almost every type of companies are visiting the campus whole year.
placement is almost 95% sure, and average package from 'power and energy system' is almost 12lakh.
highest package can go upto 33lac and minimum package can go upto 7lakh.
my plan is to get placement in core company
this year in 23-24 resession time that is why placements are low as compare to previous years
there is placemt cell which is named by 'carieer development center'

- Scope in research and in practical and faculty teaching style
- If you will focus on your studies you will get chance in your life and faculty is always there for help
- You will get a lot of opportunities in games,musicetc
Dislikes
- The atmosphere is too hot so it is one of the things I don't like
- Its too hot so there is possibility of water scarcity
- Sometimes exam pressure is too much so we can not focus on our physical health
Placement Experience:
From 3 semester students become eligible for campus placement
A lot of companies visited but i am in 1 year so I don't have that much of idea

NIT Surathkal is one of the premium engineering colleges in India. It has an amazing faculty pool with top-notch infrastructure. Many big companies visit the campus for placements. The campus is huge with all basic amenities like hostels, health care centers, sports facilities, etc. Students are provided with 24/7 internet facility and also basic facilities like water and electricity.
The campus life is very dynamic with many technical and cultural events taking place on campus. Your peers are mainly people who couldn't make it to IITs but are very talented. Moreover, you get to experience the breathtaking view of the Arabian Sea.
NIT Surathkal organizes one of the best Cultural Fest Incidents every year. Additionally, many startups have been founded and co-founded by NITKians which has improved the startup culture to a great extent. Ultimately, college is more about what you learn and experience!
