NIMHANS M.Phil. & Ph.D. Admission Process

  1. The selection of the candidates will be purely based on the scores in the Online NIMHANS Entrance Exam.
  2. The selected candidates will be called for the Counseling.
  3. The candidates will have to present the hard copy of the printed abstract of the application form along will the original certificates for verification.
  4. The candidates will have to choose their desired subjects in the counselling.
  5. The seats will be allotted on the basis of the reservation.

  2. Register on the university website to get the NIMHANS Application Form.
  3. Basic details and eligibility details should be filled correctly, any information if found incorrect may lead to rejection of the application.
  4. The candidates have to upload photographs, signatures and documents. After this, the candidates are required to make the payment and take the printout of the form.
  5. The submission of the Declaration Form is mandatory. The Declaration Form should be downloaded, filled, signed, scanned and uploaded
  6. The application fee is Rs.1000/- and for all the candidates

Ques. What documents are required while applying for admission to NIMHANS PhD program?

Ans. For admission to NIMHANS PhD program  one must submit the following documents:

  • 10th grade, SSLC, or matriculation diploma.
  • bachjelor’s Marks Cards for all semesters and years
  • Master’s degree Marksheet of all semesters
  • Permanent Registration Certificate with either State Medical Council or Medical Council of India.
  • Internship Completion Certificate, in case of eligible qualification being MBBS.
  • Experience Certificate, if mandatory as per ‘General requirement’ section of respective course.
  • Transfer Certificate from Institution/College, from where the last qualification degree was pursued.
  • Migration Certificate from the University, from which the last qualification degree was awarded.
  • No Objection Certificate from the Employer.
  • ‘Equivalence Certificate’ from Association of Indian Universities (AIU) for Eligible qualification obtained from a Foreign University/College. 

Ques. What happens after qualifying Pre-PhD exam?

Ans. Candidates who qualified the Pre-PhD exam for NIMHANS PhD course will have to undergo Certificates Verification, after verification they will be called for interview before a Selection Committee in the order of merit under the particular course. The candidates who have been selected under various categories will be required to submit the Original Certificates/Documents on the day of admission as shown under “Enclosures” along with requisite fee as shown under “Fee Structure” of the Prospectus.

Ans. Selection to PhD courses are done on the basis of entrance exam and interview at NIMHANS. There are three interview rounds. The first round is the shortlisting of resumes of the candidates.
