NIMHANS Ph.D Clinical Nueroscience: Fees 2025, Course Duration, Dates, Eligibility

Neuroscience is a sub-field of biology that specialises in the study of the nervous system structure, evolution and function. Neural science is constantly developing, but it can be divided into the branches of cognitive, clinical, computational and developmental neuroscience. Being an interdisciplinary science, it is closely related to other disciplines such as medicine, chemistry, physics, linguistics, computer science, engineering, and philosophy.

Neuroscientists focus on studying the cellular and operational levels of the nervous system, and on how these affect behavioural patterns. They also conduct laboratory experiments and theoretical research using specialised tools, techniques and computer simulations.

Candidate applying for admission in this program should have completed Post Graduation from a recognized university.

Fee Structure for Foreign Nationals except from SAARC Countries:

Ph.D. Programs: $30,000/- as Tution Fees (to be paid in equal annual instalments) & $500 as Registration Fees.

The university also offers courses like M.Phil, Ph.D. and PDF at Doctorate level. Students need to appear in an entrance exam which is conducted by the institute itself. The candidates have to secure at least 50% marks in the entrance in order to be eligible for the admission.

Candidates who have cleared UGC, CSIR, ICMR, DBT or equivalent exams or working as JRF/SRF are exempted from the entrance test. Such candidates need to appear in an interview round only.
