Course Curriculum Overview

The PhD level differs from masters and undergraduate level as you would have to do majorly independent study. The professors just help you out in few areas of your research but, everything begins and ends with your work that has to be original and concrete.

Placement Experience

4

The college has always been known for its great placement results. I have heard students get internship and placement in well known private hospitals. Due to this reason, they could rely on the placement cell easily.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee is feasible. Being a government Institute, I knew that the fees would be low but, it was surpisely lower than my expectation. So, one does not need to be concerned about the fees amount that is on yearly basis.

Campus Life

My focus was solely on getting my degree so, I had no plans to participate in any extra curricular activities. Though, I would see college organize and celebrate festivals once in a while and have student performances during the function.

Alumni/Alumna

The Institute is well in touch with their students, their alumni actively participates in coming for guest lectures and being active members of their association. Also, I have heard that the final year also get a chance to speak to the alumnis in person and take help of them during their final year.

Admission

To get admission in the Institute, you need to first have your BE or B. Tech or MBBS or Master's degree in biotechnology to prepare for PhD. The preparation at this level must be done systematically to make sure that you have all your knowledge about your course in place and know why you would like to continue till PhD level.

Faculty

4

The doctors who are actually your professors would not decide your plan as much as you would independently. They would help you out with your thesis and your planning but, their role is little in comparison to masters and UG program.

Students become eligible for campus placements from the 7th sem. The highest on campus package this year was around 64 LPA, while as far as I know, the top 20% of the students usually get offers in the 16-24LPA range. The overall placement rate is good, but results depend a lot on your skills and practice
