Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course is very much slightly outdated according to the current market trends but the college is trying their best to improve and modernise the syllabus according to current Market trends and demands and the progress in that can be seem clearly every year. The specific aspect the influenced me to take the course was the topic Operating System in syllabus which was explained in detail and according to the current market trends. Well saying again it's the syllabus as it is designed little bit complex and slightly outdated it makes harder to understand the concepts explained by the teachers difficult to understand. But with some efforts from your side and going very much according to the Training methods of college there are lot of chances for students to improve and excel in their academics. For every 3 months semester exams are conducted with moderate difficulty in Exam paper.

Internships Opportunities

2

The internships are average I guess because there is only few internships given to the the students and the stipend is also low I guess. The college did say they would provide internships after completion of 2.5 years not exactly sure about interships in our college.

Placement Experience

2

From the last year of the college which means from 5th and 6th semester the students become eligible for campus placements. Wipro Deloitte Empower [24]7 Cognizant Molecular Connections Pt Imt Bicon TCS and many more companies do come. I exactly dont know the no of offers made exactly. There are no offical records about the placements in past two years of BCA or they have not updated about placements yet but in 2022 the highest package was around 3.8 lac and the average package was around 1.8lac to 2.5 lac.The percentage of students placed in BCA is comparitevely low. My plans after completing the degree is to complete my Masters.

Fees and Financial Aid

I paid 67,500 as my first year fees but there is very slight increase year to year where I paid 67,840 for my second year and I am sure that in my 3rd year of degree which is final and last year the final fees will be amounted to rupees 68,000 or 68,500. The admission fees amounted to rupees 3,548 and registration fees amounted rupees 50 and tution fees amounted to rupees 9,882 and lab fees amounted to rupees 1,210 and management fees amounted to rupess 5,511 and the total fees for 1st year BCA of 1st semester amounted to rupees 28,520 where I recieved rupees 5,000 as concession for completing my 2nd puc in the same college. One of my friend who opted for B.Com (Bachelor of Commerce) paid rupees 57,260 per year and another friend who opted for B.Sc (Bachelor of Science) in Physcics paid rupees 44,250 per year. They do provide Educational Loans for students and provide rupees 5,000 concession in fees only for those students who completed their 1st and 2nd puc in the same college. They do provide Scholorships for students who secure more than 85 percentage in their 2nd PUC Final Examination. The scholoarships amount vary year to year so it is difficult to calculate the amount.

Campus Life

3

There are a lot of cultural events held in different months it is difficult to mention in what months what events are celebrated. The library is pretty small and average accessibility of books and journals are available in the library. The Classrooms are well maintained clean and hygiene but without and technological provisions or anyting. There a lot of Sports events and extracurricular activities such as NCC and NSS offered in campus and the College does not compromise on anything while offering extracurricular activites. The College have Litreacy clubs and Event Mangaement groups.

Admission

I did apply for Reva University and SIndhi College both in Bangalore. In Reva University the fees very much high and I personally could not afford it and in Sindhi College I was annoyed by the Administration Department because starting I did apply for Sindhi and decided to join it and also paid admission fees of rupees 10,000 but later I preferred my college Maharani itself because I had completed my 1st and 2nd PUC from that College and since my experience was good in my 1st and 2nd puc I decided not to change and join the same Maharani College itself and the fees was also very affordable to me. So I requested Sindhi Administration to refund my money to which they said they would and still today even how many times I call and ask there is no proper respone given by them to me. In our college the admission process is pretty simple the eligibility criteria is that you have to pass 2nd PUC thats all.

Faculty

4

The faculty to student ratio is 1:100 which means 1 teacher teaches for 100 students. Since I am studying BCA I have no idea about other faculties but I can easily say clearly that my BCA faculty is preety good because all most all the teachers are very friendly and kind and very much responsive to clear all my doubts even though sometimes I don't understand the concepts if I go and ask them to teach they do respond and clear my doubts . My favourite teacher was Selvi Ma'am who thought Computer Architecture and Operating system for me the reason behind her being my best faculty member is because she is very kind and responsive and always dives deep to the core of the concepts and ensures everyone interact with her in class so that each and every one of them can understand concepts clearly. In our college almost all faculties which I know are decent there are no faculties which I don't like or hate. Every year there are two semester exams conducted for one single year. The Exam papers difficulty are set to moderate it not too difficult nor very easy. The student failure ratio is very much less as in every class only 5 to 10 students fail in each class. The course curriculum is slightly outdated but they are impoving year by year and updating the syllabus accordingly.

Night Life

1

I have not spent any nightlife in my college. But I do know that our college have gym, library, park and public area. The locality is safe to roam around but I am not sure during night time since I do not stay in hostel. Famous hangout places nearby college is Mantri-Square Mall which is very much famous and there are a lot of street food places available nearby to hangout.

Students become eligible for campus placements from the 6th semester onwards. The college invites companies from IT services, startups, and core technology domains. Some of the companies that usually visit include mid-level software firms and service-based companies, offering roles such as software developer, data analyst, and testing engineer. The highest package offered recently was around 10 LPA and the average package is about 6LPA. Nearly 60–70% of students get placed every year. After completing my degree, I plan to secure a job in the IT or AI field and later pursue higher studies.

Students will be eligible for internships from the fourth sem of their course. There are many big companies who have visited the campus and made really good offers but if you want a good package the level of difficulty to get into this will also be high. The average package for BCA is 3,00,000 per annum. As per University information their placement rate is 91 percent. After getting the degree I'll be looking for a good company to work for and gain my knowledge.
