Timing of exams are fine. Course curriculum can be given earlier and things can be taught properly rather than reading out from a powerpoint. This really makes a huge difference. Along with curriculum they provide the materials to refer as well.

We follow a OBE syllabus which is best adapted for the current outside situation. Faculties also have weekly meetings among themselves to discuss to tackle issues and problems of the students to bring the best outcome possible.

The curriculum, like any medical curriculum is challenging but is still comprehensive in the way the faculty teaches it. The subjects in first year are anatomy, physiology, communication skills, indian constitution, exercise therapy and electrotherapy. The curriculum teaches us theory as well as practical application of concepts which prepares us to see patients in the future. I took this course cause it was my best option after MBBS. There are three exams per semester. Two sessional examinations and one final semester exam. These are of varying grades based on the subject. The course works on a credit system. If you have all credits then you pass. If you dont then you dont. It would be nice to have clincal postings from the first year itself so we would get to observe. But thats alright.

For a person who did not plan on taking physiotherapy as a major till after their boards, I am absolutely loving the curriculum and the subjects. The reason why I chose this college and this course is that we get to start going to clinics to gain experience from the second year itself. This allows us to gain clinical knowledge early on. It's course outline was very good. And it prepares us for all sorts of patients and cases. Right from orthopaedic or sports injuries to ICU patients meeding cardiopulmonary physiotherapy. We also gain experience in neuro physiotherapy. Clinical Postings change on a regular basis allowing a student to gain a lot of clinical experience in a good amount of time. Exams are often and are not very difficult if one is consistent. Practical examination are often difficult as methods differ from doctor to doctor but the overall idea is the same.

I wanted to learn this course as this course doesn't have surgery part. And day by day there in demand of this course. The curriculum is set by the main campus which is Manipal. lt is very helpful in future aspects There is no suggestions for improvements in any areas of the courses and teaching methods The difficulty level of your examination is very normal but you have to work hard
