How can I get admitted to the college? What is the admission procedure?

The admission into Under Graduate and Post Graduate is done through the SKUAST-Jammu entrance test, ICAR entrance test and on the basis of the nomination of in-service candidates through state government. Admission into the B.Sc. course is done on the basis of 10+2 grade marks. For admission into the Ph.D. program, students should possess a Bachelors degree in the respective subject. The respective GPA (grade point average) is also taken into consideration while granting admission. For basic agricultural training courses, the only academic requirement is 10+2 with science while for certificate courses the student should have passed matric grade.

SKUAST Srinagar Ph.D Seed Science & Technology is offered as 3 Years Full Time program. The minimum eligibility criteria for Ph.D is Post Graduation. The total fees for SKUAST Srinagar Ph.D Seed Science & Technology in 2024 is ₹ 1.8 Lakhs for the complete course duration, which includes total tuition fees of ₹ 1.8 Lakhs. Earlier, the fees in 2020 - 2021 for Ph.D Seed Science & Technology was ₹ 1.8 Lakhs.

SKUAST Srinagar Hostel Fee is ₹ 11,250 to 12,250.

Course Description

SKUAST Srinagar releases the application form on the University website for various undergraduate and postgraduate courses. Candidates who satisfy the eligibility criteria can apply for the admission.
They have to make a payment of INR 1,500 for UG courses and INR 3000 for PG and PhD courses through credit/debit card/net banking/e-challan generated while filling up the online application form
To get admission to courses at SKUAST Srinagar, candidates are required to apply for University Entrance Test 2020.

Candidate applying for admission in Ph.D. must have passed post-graduation in a relevant stream from a recognized university.

Course Details

SKUAST also offers full-time Ph.D. programs in three specializations, namely, Allied Science, Veterinary, and Basic Sciences.

Candidates who have completed a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in any relevant discipline and secured a minimum of 65% marks are eligible for admission to the Ph.D. course. Selection is based on performance in UG and PG examinations and also performance during interviews and counseling rounds.
