University college of Business studies overall experience

Likes

Computer lab are decent and have good software installed. And every day we go to lab
Library have good amount of books and we can read newspaper sitting there
Teacher are really good who always help regarding to subjects .

Dislikes

Subjects are hard like DSA and computer organisation which are difficult to understand
Campus is really small and this thing always irritated me
Classmate are not good . Their is no coding talk in our college

Subject like computer graphic, digital electronic, operating system are the reason why I choose this course. Our curriculum mostly prepare us for government exams that's why I take addmission here. Teaching method should be improved. Our teacher always try to complete syllabus that's why our mostly important topic can't clear up. Exams are difficult .

College life a nightmare

Likes

The fests were well organised, really enjoyed them. The memorable things were the freshers and carewell
The picnics held were at good places, some tracking a and 3 days trip
Met some really good people there including my friends and teachers

Dislikes

The campus was very small. No cafeteria and no ground. To go and play.
The computer labs were outdated, pirated softwares were used. Moreover the windows weren't even activated. Only pirated ones
The class room and infrastructure was really bad. It was like our class could be in rubbles anytime

Course Curriculum Overview:

The programming languages were the one that made me choose this course, some subjects were unnecessary like business studies and accountancy, moreover maths and coding influenced my decision to choose this course. The curriculum was quite the opposite, the syllabus was quite old given the requirements of the current world. Only the syllabus was taught, nothing extra from that. They should update the syllabus new languages that are being used currently in the industry should be taught.

Coding environment is always missing in our college . Students mostly wasted their time in useless things
Their is no placements and intership provided in college which is very essential in this field
Syllabus is very bad. We learn visual basic which i never know why we learn this.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum of this college is good. The subjects that are taught in this college are mostly outdated technologies. But yeah C and Data structures are good subjects. Well, the curriculum doesn't prepare you for real-world applications you should learn various technologies from YouTube or paid courses. Well, I suggest that the curriculum should be updated more the teaching way should also changed like using smartclass, and the focus should be more on practical rather than theory. Exams come very rapidly like after 1-2 months exams started. So you should prepare.

There is no political party like ABVP and SFI influence in our department.
Many professor our good in teaching there subject.
Many departments in HPU are having good infrastructure.

Dislikes

Infrastructure is not good. Especially for BCA student.
Still studying those too old syllabus. Not studying latest syllabus.
Exam frequency are very fast as sometimes are syllabus dont get covered on time.

To learn programming language Will make me ready for private firms There should be more focus on practical as not that much theory Exam happens after every 6months and there difficulty level depend upon the subject.

Likes

Our college provide best teaching that I like about it.
Computer lab is also well established for students to do practical.
Library has big amount of books and big enough so that large amount of students can study their and read books.

Dislikes

I think college should provide more placement opportunities to students so that students can secure their career after completion of course.
I think college should also provide internship opportunities to students.
There should also more seminar for student's career consultant.

Basically I have great interest in software development and I think bca is one of the best course for that which influenced my decision to choose this course. Overall course curriculum is best in my point of view as it include almost everything about software development.
