From 3rd semester you will be qualified to shit in the placements. Almost every big company in India and also all multinational companies are invited to college for that. About 80 to 90 per cent of students at IITD get placed anyhow I'll be in research.

After the 8th semester students become eligible for campus placements, after the 6th semester the 7th and 8th semesters are specifically for internships. The CS people are the ones usually who get the highest package ehich is around 1 crore The average of electrical branches like MnC,CS etc is 40 lakhs All the other banches have an average if around 15-20 lakhs pa Almost all students are placed and the ones who dont get placed are those who dont sit for placements in order to pursue higher education

From the 8th semester students become eligible for campus placements. A lot of companies visit here and they give offers to almost everyone here. The highest package goes to as high as 2.5 crores and the lowest goes to 10 lakhs. Almost everyone gets placed. I want to do a job.

Fourth-year and Fifth-year (Dual degree) students are eligible for campus placements from their 7th and 9th semester onwards, respectively. We have primarily 7 types of profiles: Quant & Finance, Tech/Software, Consulting, Product Management, Business Analysis, and Core (stream specific). Some of the major/legacy companies that visit the campus are Google, Microsoft, Sprinklr, JPMC, BCG, Bain, Mckinsey, Accenture, DE Shaw, etc. While the college's Office and Career Services (OCS) team may claim 90-95% placement success, the real numbers are closer to 70-80%. The highest package offered this year was 85 lakhs (CTC) despite false claims made by OCS. Since I have been placed at Accenture in a consulting role, I plan to gain some work experience and then pursue an MBA.

The placement stats are not released officially. But the placement is conducted very systematically and satisfactorily. 80% of students get placed. I am not planning to opt for placement after my degree.

Many big companies come for placement like BCG, Amazon, Google, etc. The placement percentage is quite high. There is a very wide distribution of packages ranging from crore packages to very modest paying packages.

Top-tier companies like Microsoft, Google, BCG, Bain, Goldman Sachs, amazon etc visiting our campus and recruiting a large number of students every year. The highest package as per my information is 1-2 crores CTC and the average package is about 25-30 lacs. A large percentage of students get placed every year. My plan is to take up a job for a while after completing my degree.

Students can sit for interns in 1st year only placement open in 4th year only. Alot of companies visit such as Microsoft, Google, Amazon, Bain, MasterCard, etc. 600 offers were made this year. Highest package offered was 3 Cr. And average package being 15 LPA. Alot of students get pre placement offers and alot of them go for research after that around 80% students are placed. Rest work for start ups or higher exams. I've decided to go for consulting.
