Best Medical College in the State for MBBS

Likes

Well Experienced Professors who are themselves the top Doctors of the State.
Excellent Patient Exposure as in the field of Medical Sciences, a good Patient Exposure is a must and as the associated Dr. BRAM Hospital is the highest Government Hospital in the State, the Exposure is very nice.
The Fest and Other Annual Cultural Events are the most Memorable. And the New Auditorium is Awesome for a Government college Like this.

Dislikes

College campus is a bit small as it is in the heart of the City and If you expect a large campus, you will surely be slightly disappointed.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The MBBS course has a well prepared Curriculum which really helps us to prepare the students for becoming Good Doctors in the future. Exams are the reason why most of the Students open their books and even the Practical exams and the vivas may sometimes be haunting but definitely are memorable experiences.

Likes

The whole campus is so eco-friendly and teachers are too good to us.
Practicals related to this course is done by well qualified technicians and lab assistant
University conduct many type of activities like sports, fest etc.

Dislikes

Exam schedule are so irregular in this university
Results are released too late so our session delayed.
Syllabus are too wast so sometime the couldn't complete.

Course Curriculum Overview:

This course is good after mbbs because they also provide a doctorate degree Someone who do this degree have permission to do general practice and also work with hospital as a Resident doctor. Govt give permission to do surgical things and provide govt vacancy every year and also post in chc and phc centers Exam conducted once in a year and yes it is difficult because we need to learn both ayurvedic and modern concepts.

Likes

It's very good college. Teaching staff is very good
Practicals are done in a good manner every day
Sports and functions are also done in this university

Dislikes

College and campus is very small and cover very less area
Hospital is very far from the college and it's difficult for students to travel so far
Very less hospital visits for 1 st year medical student

Course Curriculum Overview:

It's a very good course. It's been compared with mbbs but Ayurveda has its own benefit. Ayurveda is very good for the treatment of lifestyle diseases without using any harmful drugs and side effects. It's based on ancient practices

No regrets for college life

Likes

CcA activitys are held..Clubs of interest are there and students can play at university level to represent college
Fest, Annual day and GFC and Sports tournaments are held
Good infrastructure..with canteen and general shop and medical...with multi-speciality hospital

Dislikes

campus is 6 km away from the main city ..
Sometimes teachers get rude ...but allover it's good

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course includes more practical work rather than bookish knowledge. All depends on your hand work in practicals and your confidence. Total 4 Exams are held per year. First 3 are conducted by college and final exam is conducted by university.

Honest review of Chhattisgarh institute of medical sciences (bilaspur)

Likes

I liked the campus as it has plenty of trees
Some professors are really dedicated here
The college life is fun here, senior are also helpful

Dislikes

Old lecture theaters, some times the projectors are not working sometimes the ac is not working
First year hostel is outside the campus, so it becomes a bit difficult sometimes
The main hostels are very old and require renovation

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum here is very practical based which includes dissection on cadavers, bone demonstration, hematology practicals, postings, biochem practicals etc. As the curriculum is very practical it prepares you well for the real world applications. Areas of improvement can be reduced written work and assignments. We have exams every 2-3 months which can be passes easily if you are consistent in your studies

MBBS at Pt. JNMMC Raipur from a first year's POV

Likes

Alumni network is great. It's the oldest medical college of chhatisgarh located in the heart of the city.
It's known as Mekahara in local language and right from children to old age people choose to come here.

Dislikes

It's a bit congested. 75 acres is not a lot so it can feel cluttered.
Hostels aren't top quality so students choose to live outside sometimes.

It's the best and oldest state government medical college of chhatisgarh (AIIMS raipur is a central institution). Choosing MBBS here was based on the facts like location (ii) funding received from govt is first given here (iii) patient inflow at OPD everyday (iv) facilities at the hospital (v) challenging surgeries and cases being taken everyday (vi) best doctors are available here. You get to learn a lot

As usual like every govt. Medical college fees is very less, with minimal hostel charges, great infrastructure,
One of best college, no one can tell you that this college will be so great just by looking at it, some people will say colleges of big cities are great, but in your 5 year of life, This college will give you unbelievable memories and opportunity.
Sitting at the slope of hill, the beautiful view, especially in monsoon when cloud reaches to the hill, you would not like to move.

Dislikes

Being not in city gives a little out touch to citi life enjoyment, but you will learn to love nature.
This is comparatively new college 11 years old and hospital is just 2 years old so yes there are some limitations, in number of resources.
Limited staff hinders your work sometime. Faculty sometimes is not that supportive.

Placement Experience:

There is rural posting via CGHS into rural areas for all students or pay a compensation of 25 lakh. Usually everyone opt for rural services , other than that there are jobs for doctor, but now having so many new college and no regulations over private colleges and foreign graduate filling everywhere, field is getting is bit saturated.

The professors are very knowledgeable and helpful. All the departments have highly experienced faculties. Here we also have demonstrators and PG students who help us as our teaching aid.
We have monthly assessments for clinical postings. We have to prepare seminars,projects. During clinical postings we have very interactive sessions with patients.
Our Library is well maintained with 24 hrs wifi . The college environment is good.

Dislikes

Our girl's ug hostel building is very old and needs maintainace.
The events in our college are very few and are not that much good and

Placement Experience:

After the completion of the senior final year which is the fourth year the students become eligible for an internship in the hospital. After one year of internship, the students are placed in various govt. Medical facilities like PHC, and CHC. The average income varies from district to district but yes minimum they can earn upto 5LPA or 6LPA after a UG degree and after a PG they can earn a minimum of 12 LPA.

Affordable and Good college in Chhattisgarh

The location of college is very nice and it's near to the city but there's not much outside interference from the city.

Dislikes

Mess food can sometimes be a problem for few students.
There's no wifi available for the students. The available free wifi gives only 30mb data.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course of bachelor's is dental surgery is veey prestigious. The curriculum of the university is made so that it'll be easy as well as efficient. There's one university exam conducted for passing each year. And internal exams and pre University exam is conducted by the college.
