Panjab University Chandigarh Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

I would say the curriculum is a little too old as there are no internship and placement opportunities and no real-world experience we are just focusing on the curriculum which is also very old maybe like 4-6 years old

As of i know the ggdsd college of chandigarh is considered the best college in chandigarh, and their psychology program is really good and that's why i choose it. The curriculum prepares us in many ways, they organize different types of activities and they even tell us about interships and how to grab them. I don't think that the curriculum needs any type of improvement, it is quite good. I don't have any problem with the frequency and the timing of the exams and their difficulty is also on medium-hard level.

The NEP ( new education policy ) is implemented in PANJAB UNIVERSITY CHANDIGARH . It's prepare student of a better learning new subject as per student choice can be opted . It prepares you very well as a variety of subject is available . The area of improvements need in the courses are not much but pratical subject are little lacking . Semester exam are held twice a year and MST mid sem test are also held twice

Sd collège is one of the best college affiliated to panjab university in chandigarh. The syllabus is very insightful here plus so many subjects to choose from like public administration, history, punjabi. One best thing is that they also offer diploma courses along with BA programme I did diploma in french which was a 2 year course our french teacher did her degree from paris france neetu mam. they also offer diplomas in child psychology , urdu and so on. Exams happen every 6 months. teaching methods i dont think needs to be improved however class timings can be changed as first class starts at 8 Am which makes it a little hectic.

I prefer this to learn about the new techniques, innovative regarding the agriculture for growing different crops , vegetables, fruits and flowers because in now days the land availability is decreasing day by day and population is increasing so for this growing crops in minimum land resources is my main point

I liked computers and technology that's why I opted this course. B tech required non-medical but have done commerce so I opted BCA. I don't think that curriculum prepares that much for real world applications or maybe I am in second semester that's why I don't feel that. Teaching should be more practical centric instead of theory. And change in syllabus should be implemented. Topic such as AI, Machine learning and graphics should be included. Exams happen at every 6 months and exams are not very tough.

BCA in itself is not a very good course that will gurantee your placement in a good company with high package, Its relevance is high only beacuse its easy to complete and get the degree. For good packages you have to do MCA or work harder on your skill to get a good job. BCA helps in building base of your coding career, it offers a good grasp of C/CPP, Java and DataStructure.

The BSc non medical have five subjects namely maths physics chemistry hcp and environment. There are three papers of physics chemistry as well as maths. To pass one subject student has to clear all three papers.

In 7 semester students are eligible for placements. About 50+ companies visit campus every year and 250+ offers were made to students. The highest package this year has been 42 LPA average 9.1 LPA . Profiles offered are Software Development Engineer, Data Analyst etc. The percentage of students placed is about 47.5%. To secure placement in a core ECE Company is my plan after my degree

I choose this course has it has a great opportunity to work on science and research in future as it has a great aspect of earning money The curriculum prepared you for real world applications but very less practical knowledge is given and more of the theoretical knowledge is given because of the Indian education system which employees us to copy and paste on our examination sheet
