Course Curriculum Overview
The NEP ( new education policy ) is implemented in PANJAB UNIVERSITY CHANDIGARH . It's prepare student of a better learning new subject as per student choice can be opted . It prepares you very well as a variety of subject is available . The area of improvements need in the courses are not much but pratical subject are little lacking . Semester exam are held twice a year and MST mid sem test are also held twice
Fees and Financial Aid
Tution fee is very less as it is goverment University but some course have high fess like ballb approx 1lakh 20 thousand . Very minimal extra charges are there . The total fees of BA for one year including all the charges are around 25-26 thousand . Scholarship are provided on various factors . Some of them are by government . A decent amount of stipend is provided for student in professional courses .
Campus Life
Lot of fest are held during Jan to march time around 7-8 . Star nights are also held . Even fest are held on each festival like Diwali Holi new year . The libarty is huge and all books are easily avaible . A main is libary is situated in center of University and each department also have its own libary and libary is accesilble on a libary card . Techno provided in classroom is not good only green or black board is avaibable in each class. Latest techno lies behind is PU classes . Sports and extra curricaler activites on daily basis almost every sports is avaible to student just on filling of a undertaking form . There are few social groups runt by PU authority and student both for betterment of students .
Admission
Different course have diffrent eligibility according to type of couser BA , BCOM have 12 merit addmission and cut off is around 85 percent for Ba and around 90 for bcom . Other courses have different entrance test. Forms for all courses and other info is easy avaible on PU online sites. Reservation is not availed but reservation is provided to all the sections of society expect OBC. Difficulty of examintion is moderate . Exam are held twice a year one for each semester and once in semester MST MID SEM TEST ARE Also held . Admision proces is very easy . A person can easy apply for any course on pu offical portal
Faculty
The overall experience is very good . The number of teachers per student in each course is also good . Faculty members are all PHd holders from diffrent courses . It's very easy to approach the faculty members at any time . Even we can approach them at any time on thier phone by message or call
