Panjab University Chandigarh Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

The placements are good to last year 95% of students were placed with 5.5 CTC. And all top companies like exon, uop, bhectel, reliance, cairen come for placement. We have a very good alum network that helps colleges to get placement for students.

The placement of this college is decent. The average package offered last year is 7 lakh. Around 80-90 percent of students get placed every year. And those who didn't get placed went for higher studies. The companies like Exxon Mobil, Honeywell UOP, Jubilant, Bechtel, Reliance, HMEL, etc. Visits our campus. The students got placed before their last semester. The highest package offered last year is 16 lakh.

The placements of our college are more than average. Most of the students sitting for placement get placed. Companies visited are ExxonMobil, cairn oil and gas, and many more. The highest package can go up to 10 lakh.

I think from the third year the students become eligible for placements and the average package is also good. For my branch that is cse, the average package is 8 lacks from last year's data. The placement is 100 percent in the CSE branch.

The placement records of our department are great. In our previous year, 96% of the students got placed and the average package was around 7lpa and the highest package was around 11lpa. Students are eligible for taking part in placement drives after the 3rd year. Major recruiters of our college are Exxon Mobil, Jubilant, Reliance, etc. The majority of them are refineries. The highest package is given by Exxon Mobil of 11lpa for the post of process engineer. Due to covid the placements of almost all the colleges got disturbed and same is the case with ours but still 70% students got placed. After getting the degree it is a dream come true situation for one if he gets placed in Exxon Mobil and the same is with me.

Pre COVID the placement for mechanical was low. I couldn't say what will happen now. But CSE IT ECE they always had the best placements, 90% of students do get place through the campus placement. Highest has gone to 18 lpa. For the mechanical, post COVID I believe it will be a great challenge. But Chandigarh is a city full of opportunities so you can find a way for yourself.

4 th year students are eligible to sit on placements. The average package offer is 3lpa and the highest gone is 10lpa.moreover the placement depends on the student. They are applied on-campus or off-campus. So overall placement is average.

Many big companies including Amazon visit the campus for hiring. Mass recruitment also happens in the on campus placements. Off campus opportunities are always available even if the college doesn't get you good placements.

i chose this course as i had an interest in the chemical engineering subject. the faculty to student ratio depends actually. if there is a lecture hall they can accommodate 100 students where one teacher delivers the lecture.Where as in the labs the class is divided into 3 groups so it's 30:1 in labs whereas 100:1 in classes. Qualification is excellent and the teaching method is also good. exams are on time and the difficulty is medium.

Exonn Mobil gave the highest package of 11 lakh and on an avg, the package is 5.5 lakh. % age of students getting placed is difficult to say as it varies every year. So far I want to get placed in a good company where I could grow.
