Likes
- I really liked the clubs and availability of almost each of the clubs anyone wants. There are clubs for Anime, Art, Dramatics, Dance, Music, Cooking, Quiz, Cubes&puzzles, photography, literary club and what not. This makes the college life more fun.
- The coding culture is top tier and almost every 2nd student you will meet in 2nd year+ will be deadly in technology. It may be either ML or either CP, almost everyone is up to something even mechanical guys or chemical guys will be doing CP.
Dislikes
- I didn't like the weather specifically, it'll make you lose 300ml of sweat easily (not even kidding). Even in Monsoons the scorching heat is such a pain. The winters are extreme too and in winters you will have to experience that 10 centigrade temp.
- The food quality is something you will have to adjust with, the food is worse as any other IIT or college (unless it's some thapar or expensive college). You'll need to get habitual with water and minor inconveniences in food so one needs to adapt.
Placement Experience:
Students become eligible for placement after semester 7. The data for 2023-2024 is not here so here is the data for 2022-2023. Many companies including some MAANG - Microsoft, Amazon, Google comes to the campus. Some other companies including Atlassian, Sprinklr,Goldman sachs, Morgan stanley are regularly hiring companies. Majority of these big companies mentioned here, almost each of them hire 10+ interns every year. Last year the highest package was 1.37 Crore and 6 people had CTCs >1crore. Average package was 15.73 LPA overall including all branches. While CS average package was 35.57 LPA and Electrical had 24.85LPA as average. 58% was overall placements including all branches and branchwise it varies - 98.6% for CS, 83.6% for Electrical etc. My plan after getting the degree is for doing a job or who knows maybe pursue higher studies further.
Placement Experience:
Students become eligible for campus placements in the 7th semester. The average package of our college as per last year's data is fifteen lakh per year. Approximately 60 percentage of eligible students got placed including both on and off campus.
Likes
- I liked fest of our college. we have three main fest sport fest Infinito , tech fest Celesta and cultural fest Anwesha.
- New library that is in building process looks very awesome also our college provides us with computer center with acess to many software that can be useful for students
Placement Experience:
7th smester students are eligible for campus placement and 5th semester students are eligible for campus internship. From 2024 passout students approx 60% students got placed with average package of 22 lpa.
Likes
- College provides good placement and Internship opportunities. Hundreds of national and international companies visit our campus for placement and internship drives. College has 100% placement record with average package around 20LPA.
- College has good infrastructure and well equipped classrooms and laboratories.
Dislikes
- Administration is sometimes slow. Things take more than expected time to happen, specially the paperworks.
- Mess food needs to be improved a little bit.
Placement Experience:
College provides 100% placement to its students. Hundreds of national and international companies visit campus for placement and internship every year. Average CTC is around 20 lakhs per annum for placement and average stipend is around 50 thousands per month for internships.

- Infrastructure which contains a wonderful library
- The welfare of the students the care taken by the seniors
Dislikes
- The location of the college which is far from the city making it hard to transport
- The academic management which will never get worse

This iit has got one of the best placements of all the colleges which are offered in the campus with the average and median just over thirty lakhs per annum as the base pay But the improvement isn't that good in the new times but it's expected to be improved in the coming 3 years

Likes
- I like about the most about IITs is the inter IIT sports and tech competitions.
- I like about the most about IIT Patna are the variety and quality of clubs available.
Dislikes
- The first thing i dislike about IIT Patna is the academic pressure that students have to go through.
- The second thing i disliked about IIT Patna is the hostel and mess quality.
Course Curriculum Overview:
The course that I have chosen is mathematics and computing. The reason why I chose to do my btech in this branch is because of my interest in the field of mathematics. Also, expertise in mathematics guarantees you expertise in a lot of fields.
Likes
- Sports facilities are well and good, specially volleyball
- Water supply are good and campus is so big
Dislikes
- Climate is not so good and there is no big cafe or malls near campus
Placement Experience:
From 7th semester students apply for job. The average package of my branch is 2500000 per year Google, Amazon, Flipkart, Samsung these companies visited. 90 percent of students get placed I have to do more courses after getting degree

- Very big campus. Good rooms. Supportive staff members, peers and seniors.
Dislikes
- Bad weather relative to my home. poor connectivity to the main city Patna.
Placement Experience:
In previous years my college had one of the best placements in the country. 6 students grabbed 1crore + package from Google. Almost 94 percent of students got placed in prestigious companies. We become eligible for internships from the end of 5th semester.

- The people here are very friendly and smart
- The campus is very beautiful and green, which is fun
Dislikes
- The curiculum should be more industry relevant
- The hostel rooms should have air conditioners
