I liked fest of our college. we have three main fest sport fest Infinito , tech fest Celesta and cultural fest Anwesha.
New library that is in building process looks very awesome also our college provides us with computer center with acess to many software that can be useful for students

i choose this course because i wanted to go to tech side and mathmatics computing course provide it. This course has all the required knowledge that is needed for any beginner software engineer to become pro in it.

Internships Opportunities

Our college help us with getting many companies to come for internship oppurtunities for students . Various of them come for technical skills. Our college also provide with research internship and also project under proffesor which can be very useful for students in resume building.

Placement Experience

7th smester students are eligible for campus placement and 5th semester students are eligible for campus internship. From 2024 passout students approx 60% students got placed with average package of 22 lpa.

IIT Patna conduct main three fest that are Infinito sport fest in month of october , Celesta tech fest in month of november and Anwesha cultural fest in month of february. we also have various range of books available in our college to help student with their course . also we have various club to keep student engage in co-cuuricular activities.

Hostel Facilities

1st,2nd and 3rd year students get one room with 2 people and for 4th year every students get single room. IIT Patna has 3 boys hostel named Aryabhatta CV Raman and APJ Abdul Kalam ans 1 girl hostel named asima.

Hostel Fee: INR 10000 per year

Admission

you have to qualify JEE Mains exam and give JEE Advanced exam and get a good rank to get into IIT Patna. the cut-off during my time was 1,500-15,000 to get admission in our college. You can see more detail cut=off for each branches on josaa website

Faculty

the faculty to student ratio in iit patna college is approx. 1:100 which is quite good. faculties in our college use various approach to teach students and ensure that they understand the topic . Students can interact with faculties and approach them if they need any help in their office they are usually available during their free time

A Comprehensive Insight into IIT PATNA

Placement Experience:

From the 7th semester,the students become eligible for the campus placements. Recently Samsung company visited our college and hired some people. Last year(2023), the highest package offered was 82.05 lpa from Amazon. Some other top recruiters include Cognizant, Adobe, some consultant companies like Collegedunia,etc Last year then percentage for students getting placed was 98.65% (in CSE) Overall it was 85% . My plan is to clear the Gate entrance exam and pursue higher studies from top institutes.

Tier 3 college but good enviornment

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placement in 7th semester. The colege placements has increased in recent years with better companies visiting. Company visiting are prism cement, tcs, wipro and many sales vompany Around 10 companies visit during placements Lowest package is 3.6 lpa and highest package is 6.5 lpa Around 90% of cse students are placed, 30% mechanical and ee students. Civil students dont opt for placements. I am currently preparing for civil services exams. Plan to get a govenment job.

As my marks are good in JEE advance I go for IITs over other NITs. Only one name is enough for IITs why I choose them over another college. I only apply for josaa counseling and get this college. You can also say I get rejection for older IITs. The admission process is quite simple just write the JEE mains exams which are held in jan and April after clearing the cutoff write the JEE Advance exam if you score well in JEE Advance you get a seat in IIT Patna. around 93 percentile is needed to clear cutoff for jee mains and needed 13000 rank in advance for IIT Patna...Read More

A Comprehensive Insight into IIT PATNA

I applied to several other engineering colleges across India like : IIT Delhi - Biotechnology IIT Indore - Mechanical IIT BHU- Mechanical As my rank in JEE ADVANCED was not sufficient to get into these colleges Colleges I was getting Some IITs (IIT Indore,IIT DHANBAD) I was getting civil branch.. and in NITs like NIT Patna, Goa etc. I was getting CSE. But I have chosen IIT PATNA Mechanical Engineering branch .. The first reason was obviously the IIT branch which has a significant impact on placement, carreer, exposure,etc. IIT PATNA despite being newer compared to older IITs, has been quickly advancing in terms of faculty, facilities, reasearch infrastructure. The admission process is as follows: First of all you have to clear the Joint Entrance Exam (MAINS+ ADVANCED). Then, we have to participate in the JOSSA counselling and select the colleges according to your preference. Then after getting alloted a college you have to pay Seat Allocation fees. Then during physical reporting you have to go through various processes ( they will verify all your documents) including some monetary transactions ( college fees...etc.) All done....Read More

Review of IIT Patna

This College was established in 2008. Since then it has developed as per expectations. Actually, IIT Patna is situated near the Capital of state Bihar. Bihar is one of the most underdeveloped states of India. So the college has a negative impact of this on its growth. Otherwise, this college has a very good potential and very talented students in it. Depsite of negative factor of location it has developed better than other IITs established with it in 2008.
