Likes

Infrastructure which contains a wonderful library
The welfare of the students the care taken by the seniors
The cultural events which are happening the whole year around

Dislikes

The location of the college which is far from the city making it hard to transport
The academic management which will never get worse
The local food which is kinda boring with not many options

Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum for the first year of this college is almost similar to any engineering college providing minimal information which is useful for almost all the branches. But specifically for my course mathematics and computing most of the stuff taught in the first year are useless and is a waste of the first year

Placement Experience

This iit has got one of the best placements of all the colleges which are offered in the campus with the average and median just over thirty lakhs per annum as the base pay But the improvement isn't that good in the new times but it's expected to be improved in the coming 3 years

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees structure is divided into institution fees and the mess fees The mess isn't considered as part of the academics of the institute because they are a separate part of the institute and hence their fees must be paid separately The institute fees consists of the academics hostel and also the fees for the student body which powers and is the backbone of the institution. The availability of scholarships is a real thing and is available to the students who got some kind of reservation as in female/economically backward The scholarships are taken seriously and aren't neglected

Campus Life

The infrastructure of the campus is on the better side with the major part constructed and all others being in construction. The social welfare is one of the best things in the campus with sufficient number of clubs and more upcoming. The active clubs events are one of the best parts of the campus life

Hostel Facilities

There are total of four hostels which is less for an iit but sufficient for the number of students who are residing in the campus. The hostel is compulsory to attend the college and everyone must take it. The rooms are mostly shared by two or three people which may sound a bit bad but isn't. The facilities are more than just minimum but aren't too good.

Hostel Fee: INR 50000 per year

Admission

The addmission process was almost smooth sailing until i wasn't able to recognise which building belongs to which block. The campus is vast and as it was my first time in it i wasn't used to it. The faculty are not that impressive but still were helpful. But mainly the seniors were game changers. They led me so well now i became so familiar with my college.

Student form 6th Sem are eligible for camps placement. There are many companies visit in my college are Myntra, Q spider, Intel . Company take maximum 2-3 students form my branch.Highest Placement is approx 20lpa and average placement is 4-5lpa .10-15 percent students are placed. Honest student review of NIT Patna.

Placement Experience:

Placements are in my college starts from 7th semester. Core electrical engineering placements are limited, and mostly IT And specialisation Branches get more placement opportunities. The average package in my college is moderate and also depends on skill. Many students NIT Patna prefer the GATE examination and higher studies. If no campus placement is offered to me then I will plan to continue my family business and after getting my degree, I will join a good company and save money to invest in a good running business

Placement Experience:

We do get campus visit from some start ups and mass recruiters and highest package was 7 lakh while average is 4 lpa I don't know this much I am still a first year but as per our faculty and I missed orientation so of course I don't these things yet but I am trying to figure out as well

Admission:

I got admission through merit list after 12th science. You have to register on gtu website for that and should pay form fees. Then you ask for selecting colleges and also courses which you have desire. You get 3 chances if you not getting in first slot.

BS in AI-CS at IITP revolutionizing Indian tech sector

I was already pursuing my B Tech degree in the College of Agricultural Engineering and Technology OUAT Bhubaneswar. This college allows you to take admission in BS alongwith a B. Tech or any other degree(NEP 2020 policy). I appeared in NEET 2024 and qualified it with a score of 396/720. I shared my NEET score card when I applied to take admission in BS program. You can take admission through JEE or CUET or any other significant national level or statelevel entrance exams. If you have my appeared in any significant national or statelevel entrance exams after 12th, you can appear in IIT-SAT exam for taking admission in this course, but mathematics is mandatory. Maths should be a subject during your 12th. I visited the official website of IIT Patna, downloaded the brochure for taking admission in BS program in AI-CS. Then I contacted the admission team mentioned in the brochure. They guided me about the admission process. You need 10th and 12th marksheet, passport size photocopyz adhaar card, income certificate, resident certificate, etc, upload all the mentioned documents in pdf format in the correct order, send it to their email, then courier the documents in the given address, then after payment of fees you are a student of IIT Patna BS program and you will get an ID card of IIT Patna BS program after some days delivered to your address. The admission was smooth, but you have to keep yourself up-to-date and check your WhatsApp, messages and gamil/Outlook regularly to get the information. IIT Patna is very best in India. According to NIRF ranking 2025, IIT Patna is ranked 36th in the overall category, and 39th in the research institutes category. In the India Today rankings 2024, it was ranked 9th in the category of colleges. Admission process was very smooth, firstly you apply / registration in B.Sc (CSDA) course. IIT Patna Through An Honest Insider's Perspective

Basically i gave JEE and according to my JEE Advanced rank of 2023 i was getting EE/ECE in some og the Mother IITs but i didn't want to pursue electrical engineering so took CSE in IITP.
