IIT Guwahati M.Tech Computational Mechanics: Fees 2025, Course Duration, Dates, Eligibility

The admission process for the MTech program at IIT Guwahati begins online after the GATE results, with candidates shortlisted based on their scores. Those selected are invited for offline counseling before final admissions are confirmed. The institution boasts strong placement opportunities for well-prepared students. Although on-campus internships for MTech students are limited, securing an internship can lead to a Pre-Placement Offer (PPO). MTech students not placed in jobs have the option to pursue a PhD abroad, depending on their project work and mentor's satisfaction.

All MTech students receive a monthly stipend of Rs. 12,400, and from the second or third semester, they are required to fulfill Teaching Assistant (TA) duties. The TA and project supervisors may be the same or different, and they have the authority to withhold or reduce the stipend if tasks are not completed satisfactorily.
