Course Details

Sri Venkateswara Institute of Medical Sciences (SVIMS), Tirupati was established in 1993 under the aegis of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD). SVIMS is recognised by the Medical Council of India (MCI). SVIMS offers admission to the MBBS course through merit in NEET UG followed by the counselling conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC). The Institute offers admission to the MBBS program to both National and NRI/NRI-sponsored candidates.

SVIMS MBBS Eligibility Criteria

SVIMS MBBS Admission is offered for candidates with 10+2 in Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany and Zoology)/ Biotechnology and English individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany and Zoology) / Biotechnology at the qualifying examination.

Candidates must be 17 years old as of December 31 of the year of admission.
For the NRI category: Candidates must be the ward of an NRI belonging to Andhra Pradesh/ Telangana States.
For NRI sponsored: Candidates should have blood relation to the sponsor who can be in the form of a father, mother, brother or their children, maternal/paternal family.

SVIMS MBBS Selection Criteria

SVIMS offers admission to the MBBS program for eligible candidates based on NEET UG score.

Eligible candidates with the required cutoff in NEET UG must appear for the counselling process.
MCC conducts NEET UG Counselling for 50% of All-India Quota Seats.
YSRUHS conducts the State-level NEET UG Counselling for 50% of State-Quota Seats.

SVIMS MBBS Admission Process

SVIMS offers admission to the MBBS program based on merit in NEET UG. A separate merit list will be prepared under the NRI & NRI sponsored category. Candidates must pay the application fee in the form of a Demand Draft (from any Nationalization Banks) drawn in favour of the Secretary, BIE, A.P., Hyderabad. The application fee is as follows:

How to Apply for SVIMS Admission?

Candidates applying for admission to the MBBS program at SVIMS can follow the steps mentioned below:

Applicants can download the Application Form from the University website.
Applicants must take a printout of the Application form and fill out with the required personal and educational details.
Pay the requisite fee and attach a recent coloured passport-size photograph in the space provided.
Check the application thoroughly and submit the application.

Documents Required

Candidates must enclose the following documents during SVIMS Admission:

Written/typed representation/application addressed to the Secretary, BIE, A.P. Hyderabad
Original Pass Certificates of 10^th & 12^thstandard/class as the case may be.
Marks Memorandum list of 10^th & 12^th standard/class as the case may be.
Migration Certificate issued by the concerned Board.
Transfer certificate of School / College as the case may be.
Letter from the Indian Embassy – in case you have studied abroad

Likes

I liked is it's not spoon feeding unlike what we gone upto intermediate.
My college is improving day by day like to they are constructing grounds new buildings.

Dislikes

Stress is at peak level when we have exams.
We are lacking security as the college is surrounded by nallamalla hills we have animal encounters

The curriculum is based on consideration of entire students ,which is very nice.the curriculum makes us know about the real world.it introduced us to the real life situations.it is teaching us how we have to deal with them.

Has Basketball, Cricket,volley ball ground and courts.Good opportunity for socializing especially after months of isolation during NEET preparation.
Culturals and college fests are organised every year, including college day hostel day & sports day.

Dislikes

Better security and surveillance required in hospitals and in the campus.
Need better in-campus roads and a 24/7 canteen for doctors, UGs and PGs.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Clinical case and disease oriented presentation of concepts.Surgical and clinical exposure and case scenarios to help understand the basis of disease, it's treatment and prophylaxis. Standard books must be referred while studying and for qualification in NEET PG and selection in USMLE PLAB etc... Areas of improvement: presentation of classes oriented towards high yielding concepts and exam oriented presentation. Frequency of exams : Externals conducted after each professional year of MBBS & 3 internal examinations are conducted in every professional year.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course to serve the nation and poor people. In my college faculty are good and the faculty: student ratio is 24:1. All faculty are well and qualified MBBS. And teaching methods are very good Term exams for the first year are conducted at a 3 to 4-month gap, a little bit hard to pass but it was an easy task.

The experience of it all is quite good, it's a really good college with a hospital WITHIN the campus
The patient in flow and admission are a lot, that is a plus for the number and cases we will be seeing and leaning as students

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course as I have always wanted to become a doctor and heal people and believe in doing good to others. The faculty in this college is really nice, everyone is approachable and very understanding and they respect your issues and try to help. The teaching is also really good. There are practicals, theory classes, group discussions, debates, presentations and everything that can help to enhance the process of learning. The teaching guidelines and everything is according to the NMC guidelines

Fee Structure And Facilities:

Per year we have to pay college fee around 12000. It was through online, for exams we have extra charges, for practicals also we have to pay. And during admission we have to charge, and there is no extra charges for joining into the college. But for a middle class students it is difficult if they are not getting scholarship because of there caste

Fee Structure And Facilities:

Expensive man very expensive. No additional charges but govt fee as such is tooomuch for middle class people. But ok let it be all branches are increasing so we afe in the same flow as them. nothing cam be done on it. but additional charges wont be there other than fees.
