Campus Life

2.5

College fests are organised every year. They include culturals, sports competitions, flash mobs, cricket & much more. We all make enjoyable memories out of them. I myself am preparing to propose to my crush during the upcoming college fest. All these extra curricular activities make you feel alive and are an excellent opportunity to increase your social circle and create bonds.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

1 room - 3 members Fans and LED tube lights Study table pre-arranged Charging slots present Sufficient and adequate ventilation Cupboards for all 3 members separately available. Meals and Menu : Non vegetarian and vegetarian menu of food items are available. 4 days in a week - non vegetarian along with vegetarian alternative for vegetarians served The food is not so delicious but I cannot compromise my time, health and safety for it. Admission

My NEET UG exam score and rank decided my allotted government medical College. I preferred SVMC keeping in mind commute distance from my home town and as curriculum is nearly the same in all medical Colleges, I couldn't care less about it. Different cutoff scores for different categories.

Faculty

2.5

Each professional year of MBBS course has different subjects thus different professor. Iam a 2nd MBBS student at Sri Venkateswara Medical College. 1.Regarding faculty to student ratio : 4 to 1 Professors are generally not very approachable and are strict, even failing student during practical exams if they deem a student's conduct inappropriate. But a very few professors are genuinely kind & build rapport with you. 2.Assume that professor of all departments are strict and you will be safe from their torture of scolding and failing you in exams. 3.Regarding Exams: minimum theory marks to pass 40% in practical 60% in final external examinations. 1st MBBS - 3 subjects 2nd MBBS - 3 subjects 3rd MBBS - 2 subjects 4th MBBS - 6 subjects 1 year internship.

Placement Experience:

There is no such thing as campus placement in medical courses.. we are provided with internship with the linked hospital with an approximate stipend of 30k per month for a year and after that we receive the course completion certificate and we can either practice in a clinic or pursue the post graduation upon our interests..

Firstly i wanted to become a doctor. I was firstly afraid of joining in this college as it is new one and the college admission is mainly based on merit so not much of option i got. I got a all india rank of around 17000 and state rank of 1049 . Now i got md general medicine in kurnool medical college. So it gives you great knowledge for the seeking. Course Curriculum Overview:

MBBS is the only course that could make me a surgeon that I always wanted to become, hence I chose this course I choose this college due to its high patient load . I could also go to AIIMS Deogarh, Jammu, Guwahati, Madhurai or Jipmer Karaikal but I choose AMC over them is due to Patient load only. Here I can get good clinical exposure compared to those There are programs like Family Adoption programme, Early Clinical Exposure form the first year itself , and from second year only students go to ward postings. There is always real world application in this course This course particularly dont want any improvements in my opinion, NMC regulates and improves the curriculum in real time and that is implemented in this college perfectly. For every like 3 months we have internal exams to assess ourselves . And final exams in the last.

1. First of all the joy to treat and cure a patient is irreplacable with any other branch. 2. You get to see real time patients all the way since 2nd year itself and understand how everything works in real time. 3.The exams have a gap of around 3 months and are moderate to difficult. 4. A more integrative teaching is needed.
