3.5

Clinical case and disease oriented presentation of concepts.Surgical and clinical exposure and case scenarios to help understand the basis of disease, it's treatment and prophylaxis. Standard books must be referred while studying and for qualification in NEET PG and selection in USMLE PLAB etc... Areas of improvement: presentation of classes oriented towards high yielding concepts and exam oriented presentation. Frequency of exams : Externals conducted after each professional year of MBBS & 3 internal examinations are conducted in every professional year.

Internships Opportunities

2.5

In MBBS internship, doctors are provided government fund every month. No placements and companies are involved in this professional field. Intern doctors : 10,000 rs /month. This professional couse requires you to quality and get selected in NEET UG and then pass all examinations in all professional years of MBBS to enter internship.

Campus Life

2.5

College fests are organised every year. They include culturals, sports competitions, flash mobs, cricket & much more. We all make enjoyable memories out of them. I myself am preparing to propose to my crush during the upcoming college fest. All these extra curricular activities make you feel alive and are an excellent opportunity to increase your social circle and create bonds.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

1 room - 3 members Fans and LED tube lights Study table pre-arranged Charging slots present Sufficient and adequate ventilation Cupboards for all 3 members separately available. Meals and Menu : Non vegetarian and vegetarian menu of food items are available. 4 days in a week - non vegetarian along with vegetarian alternative for vegetarians served The food is not so delicious but I cannot compromise my time, health and safety for it. Hostel fee : 11,500 rs Mess fee : 3,500 rs / month

Admission

My NEET UG exam score and rank decided my allotted government medical College. I preferred SVMC keeping in mind commute distance from my home town and as curriculum is nearly the same in all medical Colleges, I couldn't care less about it. Different cutoff scores for different categories.

Faculty

2.5

Each professional year of MBBS course has different subjects thus different professor. Iam a 2nd MBBS student at Sri Venkateswara Medical College. 1.Regarding faculty to student ratio : 4 to 1 Professors are generally not very approachable and are strict, even failing student during practical exams if they deem a student's conduct inappropriate. But a very few professors are genuinely kind & build rapport with you. 2.Assume that professor of all departments are strict and you will be safe from their torture of scolding and failing you in exams. 3.Regarding Exams: minimum theory marks to pass 40% in practical 60% in final external examinations. 1st MBBS - 3 subjects 2nd MBBS - 3 subjects 3rd MBBS - 2 subjects 4th MBBS - 6 subjects 1 year internship.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Our curriculum is CBME based. I chose this course cause of my sister., she is also studying in our college. There is a bit of spoon feeding here. But the person who studies on their interest only gets good marks. The timings for the exams are not so bad but are difficult to complete the given syllabus in time.

Course Curriculum Overview:

MBBS is the only course that could make me a surgeon that I always wanted to become, hence I chose this course I choose this college due to its high patient load . I could also go to AIIMS Deogarh, Jammu, Guwahati, Madhurai or Jipmer Karaikal but I choose AMC over them is due to Patient load only. Here I can get good clinical exposure compared to those There are programs like Family Adoption programme, Early Clinical Exposure form the first year itself , and from second year only students go to ward postings. There is always real world application in this course This course particularly dont want any improvements in my opinion, NMC regulates and improves the curriculum in real time and that is implemented in this college perfectly. For every like 3 months we have internal exams to assess ourselves . And final exams in the last.

Course Curriculum Overview:

1. First of all the joy to treat and cure a patient is irreplacable with any other branch. 2. You get to see real time patients all the way since 2nd year itself and understand how everything works in real time. 3.The exams have a gap of around 3 months and are moderate to difficult. 4. A more integrative teaching is needed.

Great college to Study, Bad College for Enjoying. It will come good as it is still a budding college. Soon, playgrounds will be there and lot of sports from our college will come up. But academically, this is one of the top places to be. You may think it maybe a new college, so it wouldn't be great. But, the academics are top class and you would be happy enough to come here for it.
