Course Curriculum Overview

2.5

Actually MBBS is structured in such a way that it helps students step by step to learn.. it's anything but perfect .. I am not in a position to suggest but when we are exposed to this vast world in first year which is entirely new to us,it is difficult for us to adjust. We step by step start learning to accommodate in this new world and by the time we adjust and start reading first year comes to and end and then only running,we don't have time to atleast cover our basics so that we can continue for further 3 years.. basics when we aren't aware of we can't confidently go into next years syllabus, but if we try studying basics in the next year we will be again lagging the next year syllabus and cycle goes on.. Mental pressure is the most common that we all feel and for relieving we don't have anything,no cultural activity,no sports,nothing.. that is why many are getting on the wrong side and getting addicted to phone, movies, other addictions

Internships Opportunities

1

After 4 years we work as interns( house-surgeons) in our own college.. we are not allowed to work outside in another college, can you believe??!! We get decent salary of 24k .. and we will have to do many many many night shifts, continuous duty for 48 hrs and will have to starve at times.. people out of rage attack us and we have to bare.. everything happens but everyone needs doctor ,but when doctors are in need no one helps

Fees and Financial Aid

I don't get any scholarship.. but as I got seat in governo college the fees is comparatively low.. 10,000 tuition fee per year for 4 years.. 10,800 is hostel fee per year.. Other than that we have to buy books which is not dependent on college but it's very costly.. we have to take records and log books from college every year which costs 2,500-3,000 per year.. and mess fee is 3,400 per month but as the mess food is worst of worst,I have quit and we order usually food from outside or cook food occasionally ..

Campus Life

1

We don't have annually all programmes.. if we have one year cultural test ,next year we will have sports meet(only our college students).. and that too we will have to beg and beg and beg for atleast one event.. and we don't get enough fund for that also.. I regret only this in our college that my final year is over but we didn't have anything.. no technology facilities.. waste bokka

Hostel Facilities

0.5

Hostel is the place where we spend most of the time and our hostel is the most disgusting place ever.. we are supposed to be 2 members per room but we stay 3 members per room and if a new batch comes earlier and the final years still didn't complete their exams, we will have to stay 4 or 5 persons per room.. there are days when we slept on the floor with all sweating due to over crowding in the room.. no proper water supply,no proper sanitation ,no lights, fans, air, ughhhh worst.. hostel fee is 10,800 as it is government college but nothing more than that.. mess is also the worst.. more than half of the hostel order food from outside because of the poor quality of food

Admission

Actually admission process is according to the marks and ranks.. I didn't get to choose this college but I was asked to prioritise the colleges I would like to get in , This was my 4th option and I got it.. If I would get a chance to choose, I would have chosen AMC Or RMC in Andhra Pradesh as their academics, culturale, sports everything is excellent

Faculty

4

The faculty is very good in our college actually except a few.. they give their best to teach us everything.. they manage hospital duties as well as teaching and always gives their best to share knowledge with us.. Ashok sir,Narasimha Murthy sir,Chandrakala Mam..etc,etc for their amazing teaching skills, their interaction with students and their aura that makes teaching also enjoyable.. we have 3 internal examinations with annually final year examination where we have practical's and theory exams each 100 marks theory and 100 marks practical's.. 50% is the required pass percentage.. 95% students pass the exam and that 5% give their best in supplemR tart and pass

Other Applied Colleges

Ranga Raya Medical College | Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS)

I did not get seat because of college allotment according to rank

Placement Experience:

There is no such thing as campus placement in medical courses.. we are provided with internship with the linked hospital with an approximate stipend of 30k per month for a year and after that we receive the course completion certificate and we can either practice in a clinic or pursue the post graduation upon our interests..

Firstly i wanted to become a doctor. I was firstly afraid of joining in this college as it is new one and the college admission is mainly based on merit so not much of option i got. I got a all india rank of around 17000 and state rank of 1049 . Now i got md general medicine in kurnool medical college. So it gives you great knowledge for the seeking. Yearly one final with practicals and 3 internals which are easy one if you study moderate ly also .

Course Curriculum Overview:

MBBS is the only course that could make me a surgeon that I always wanted to become, hence I chose this course I choose this college due to its high patient load . I could also go to AIIMS Deogarh, Jammu, Guwahati, Madhurai or Jipmer Karaikal but I choose AMC over them is due to Patient load only. Here I can get good clinical exposure compared to those There are programs like Family Adoption programme, Early Clinical Exposure form the first year itself , and from second year only students go to ward postings. There is always real world application in this course This course particularly dont want any improvements in my opinion, NMC regulates and improves the curriculum in real time and that is implemented in this college perfectly. For every like 3 months we have internal exams to assess ourselves . And final exams in the last.

1. First of all the joy to treat and cure a patient is irreplacable with any other branch. 2. You get to see real time patients all the way since 2nd year itself and understand how everything works in real time. 3.The exams have a gap of around 3 months and are moderate to difficult. 4. A more integrative teaching is needed.
