- I like the club culture here in iith. We have top clubs like e-cell, TEDx, tinkerers lab, finance and consulting club, torque, rang de manch, shuffle etc
- I like the events that take place here like Milan( inter hostel competition), elan and nvisionand various other club events also
Dislikes
- The new hostel for freshers are not well built. They have many issues like lift issues and water issues
- Many classes have attendance criteria of 10% in grade which is bad
Placement Experience:
Campus placements are good in our college because it's an IIT and it's located in Hyderabad. Highest package last year was 90 lpa. Our internships are really good with an MNC duo getting 54 lakhs for 2 months at a company. Percentage of students placed is around 95 every year average is around 25 lpa
Likes
- Hostel rooms were the best in our campus. We got single rooms and large study table and chair. one cupboard enough to fit our clothes.
- Infrastructure was very modern and stylish. Roads neatly built and maintained. Co-Students were very friendly open including the seniors
Dislikes
- Campus was rather deserted due to it being an upcoming modern campus. Less buildings and for sports not much facility was there but its a lot better now
- Food and canteen options were limited compared to other IITs. No cycle on rent facility we have to buy on our own.
Placement Experience:
Placements are top notch many many companies come for placement and almost 100% placement record is there and especially CSE students and Elelctrical. Value labs, deloitte , HPCL,BPCL GOldman Saachs, Microsoft, Oracle etc many more companies came. College also has collaboration with Tokyo universities so students who opted for higher studies had a good option in Japan

- Hostel facilities are top notch. The hostels are new and well equipped with radiant cooling, washing machine and other basic amenities.
- The profs are younger compared to other IITs and hence a more modern way of teaching is followed.
Dislikes
- Not a very large alumni network if you compare it to other IITs.
- A lot of regional influence with majority of student population from South India.
Placement Experience:
Many of the top companies visit IITH. Summer Insternship is available between 6th and 7th semester while Semester Internship is available for 6th semester. Most of the companies provide Pre Placement Offer after Internship. Placements are available for students in final year. The best part about IITH is that becuase of it's relations with Japanese government, many of the Japanese companies like Mercari, NTT, Willings come to campus as well for plavement in Japan.

- I'll say there is nothing I dislike about here. Just the ratio of girl to boy lol.
Placement Experience:
They are really great. Companies visiting have been increasing as the years pass. We have companies like gs,optiver,quadeye etc for quant roles. For software there are endless companies. Apple also has visited our campus. Google, Amazon are regular companies here. For AI roles, Amex, KLA, Thomson and many more visit our campus every year with a very good ppo of around 50-60 lpa. Eligibility criteria is mostly no active backlogs. Placement rate for AI is around 96%. For CS and related dept. It's around 80-90%. Avg. Package is 30lpa for top branches. I'll be pursuing master in the field of AI after getting my degree.

The placements here are absolutely brilliant. As per the standards of the iits here excellent opportunities are available here. My college collaborates with Japanese and Taiwan companies for placement

Campus placements of my college are very good. We have got a very good alumuni network which connects students with very good companies and our college has also collaborated with Japan and Taiwan for placements and jobs

- Their are a lot a clubs and activities going around in the campus , so you can join any club according to your interest

- The greenery in the campus is little less compared to other IITs.

Course Curriculum Overview:
The curriculum includes a mix of theoretical problems and practical appliances with courses like C programming and sustainable development. College authority emphasizes on internships, and real-life industry projects ensuring students gain real-world experience. There is a large range of electives and options to specialize in different fields such as Water resources engg, Traffic engg, Airport and railway Engg. The civil engineering course is a combination of regular class exams and major exams. Its becomes a bit difficult if anyone opts for a double major and a double minor. The exam dates are sufficiently spaced out so that students can be well prepared. Attending the lectures makes the exams a bit easier and we get detailed reviews on the ERP web.

- The studies at IITH are really good when compared to many colleges outside in the country. And the curriculum is flexible for students of there won interest to learn other courses than of their particular branch.
- The Hostels are really good especially the single rooms which are given form the second year are really super. And the wash rooms are also good.
Dislikes
- Almost 80 to 90 % of the construction is completed, in the remaining 10 to 20% is left.
Placement Experience:
From 7th semester students are allowed for the placements. A total of 335 companies visited the campus and 176 offers like JP Morgan, IBM , Capgemini , Microsoft , Google , Flipkart , Axtria ,Bajaj Auto , BHEL , NVIDIA ...... For Compute Science this highest package offered is 90,00,000/- and average is 29,68,000/- Nearly 70 to 80% of students got placed Building my own startup.

- Firstly coming to infrastructure advanced Japan technology is inbuilt in every building, Radiant cooling facilities, modern architecture, especially library was simply superb,
- Healthy campus environment. 24×7 security services throughout the campus and medical services. Medicines and doctor consultation are budget friendly

- Some courses need more credits. More time need to be spent on important topics such as DSA etc. Programming languages need to be taught.
- Fests are not upto mark as it is one of high rated campus fest should also be in that range but it was not as expected.
Placement Experience:
Students from 4th year btech are mostly preferred for placements and mtech, phD students are also given importance. Many companies visit campus during placement drive , keep some exams and take interviews. At an average nearly all students get in the range 20-50 lakhs. Few get above 50 lakhs. Companies from Japan, Microsoft, Nvidia, Infosys etc visit. Nearly 350+ students got placements in 2023. After getting my degree I need to get in placements due to some financial problems later on I want to do something better.

- Thirdly, most of the professors are quite friendly and approachable. The club culture is good in the campus especially the cultural clubs are very active. And the most beautiful thing I found was that our seniors were friendly including the Mtechs.
Placement Experience:
Campus placements are for final year students of Btech, Mtech, Integrated courses. Placements take place usually during the winter seasons (especially from December onwards). Last year the number of companies visited the campus were around 335 and offers provided were 621 . Top recruiters were Deloitte, Google, Oracle , L&T, Paytm etc,. Around 75% students were placed last year. Avg package was 210k INR with median 180K INR. I will surely try for an internship and then for placements, finers crossed. Future plans are there which will possible after some capital.

Although every department of IIT Hyderabad offers top-notch education, it’s the EE department that steals the show. There are many unique aspects of this department that make it one of the most coveted branches of IIT Hyderabad.
- The fractal academic system is a unique feature of IIT Hyderabad that sets it apart from other IITs. You have no choice but to work hard and excel in all subjects. There aren’t mids and ends in every sem instead you have monthly quizzes to evaluate you regularly.
- There are many other strategies adopted to make the students work hard. For example, surprise quizzes in almost every subject are taken. These quizzes require the students to prepare before and after every class and also be regular to classes.
- The EE department helps convert theory to practice through a number of projects.
