Academics,Campus and More : A Deep Dive into IIT HYDERABAD

The curriculum for EE has changed this year for iith students ,they have designed a new curriculum based on modern requirements of companies. the curriculum of electrical engineering is very descent according to the modern requirements. the course consists machine learning and more electrical core subjects . generally biweekly quizzes are conducted and sufficient time is provided for exams according to their difficullty level.

The companies google,amazon, microsoft and more financial companies came to college for interships .My department al package this year was nearly 35 lpa (median package ) . I am looking forward for a job in core (Electrical).

The college provide decent placements, specially for circuital branches the placements are very good. The companies including google ,microsoft ,goldman sachs ,amazon etc are visited to our campus. the highest placements is nearly 90LPA and lowest package is nearly 6LPA. Nearly 75 to 80 percents of students get placed.

The yearwise fees 86000, since I am from sc category i get full tution waiver of 200000 per annum. The hostel fees is around 30000 per year and mess fees is around 40000 per year. the registration fees is around 10000 which we have to pay during admisssion in college . The fees of other students belongs to general and obc category have to pay the fees of 286000 per annum . the scholorship provided are NSP, and many private scholorship . NO individual scholorship is provided by the. college itself.

There are many fests organised in college by different students clubs such as cultural fest Elan & Vision and HORIZON by Finance club ,E summit by E cell, inter hostel( MILAN), DIESTA( inter departmental),fest are organised. There are vast collection of different kinds of books in our library , which we can acess. The institute has a very nice sports complex ,there are many sports facilities available including swimming, volleyball etc.

For 1st year undergrads we have double sharing rooms which are very spacious and includes one table. one chair and a almirah. The breakfast is good ,luch and dinner is not bad . The hostel and mess is compulsary. you cannot reside outside the campus .

I didnt have chosen this college. this is result of my JOSSA counscilling so i have to join this. I want to join IIT Roorkee but due to rank issue i couldnt join. The admission process is online , we have to submit all the required documents at ERP portal of college and after online process students are called for physical reporting.

There are sufficient faculty available for students, professors are very good and friendly in nature,some are strict . The most liked professor in my department is prof. Siva Ram Krishna Vanjari and Mr. Aditya shripuram beacuse of their nature and the way of teaching . The exams difficulty depends on the course chosen and course instructor. Generally biweekly quizzes are conducted for each course and midsem and endsem exams according to the weightage(credits) of course.The exams are generally easy to moderate.

The gym is good , have sufficient equipments for beginners as well as advanced trainers. there a lot of cafeterials in each academic block. The academic session i.e. classes starts from 9:00am till 5:30 according to slot of courses. famous hangout places is nearby campus cantene area , and garden near IITH tower. there are many hangout places outside the campus in Hyderabad city.
