All about GITAM , VIZAG

Everything is great the structure and all of the college is so good like at first i almost got lost in my own college as it is so big.
My interactions with my batchmates was not that great at first as my college is in south side and i am from north (Mumbai) so as i joined I faced difficulties with the language but soon you’ll find north indians there as well so it will be great.
Faculties are mostly good just sometimes they starts talking in telugu there native language that I don’t know so I don’t like it that way rest is good only there are smart boards and all and there teaching methods are great as well.

Dislikes

I don’t like the locals judging eyes over there like if you are from north side you will see many people starring at you without any reason.
You can also face language barriers if you are from the north side.
Faculties can give you a hard time as well if you argue too much with them.

Placement Experience:

Our college offers placement to around 90% of the students studying in it. From the 4th year 1st sem you can see different companies coming to the college for the placement opportunities. Different companies comes to our colleges such as :- TCS , walters kluver , microsoft , adobe , Dell , etc. The highest package offered was 65 lakh/annually. After getting the degree i will try my best to get placemnet from the college itself.

Likes

Academic Environment - The faculty is well qualified with many holding a advanced degee
Infrastructure - The campus is equipped with modern facilities
Placement support - Gitam provides solid placement support with workshops and internships

Dislikes

cost - The fee is higher compared to other institutions
gender ratio - the ration is 40 : 60 for boys to girls
class size and strength - some students feel class size is larger than ideal

From 6,7th semester there will be campus placements for Gitam students. Before that to get used to interview and placement culture we will get soft skills coaching where few faculty from big companies came forward and teach us all the soft skills that are needed for placements by conducting aptitude tests etc. Companies like google , wipro , amazon hire from gitam university

GITAM University The best To excel yourself

Likes

Faculty, education process, student teacher interaction.
the way of learning new things and out growing ourself for our future
helps us to raise ourself from any situation and backs the students

Dislikes

high paying fee structure and college watchmans
some faculty wont be nice with the students and a bit of paritality happens
behaviour and culture of the people all are also like that only

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose the Computer science engineering branch because everyone are choosing this only and i am a bit interested in coding and stuff i like to learn new things and our college encourges all the co curricular activites also and helps the students in every aspect.

Likes

I liked the infrastructure, environment and atmosphere.
I actually liked how some of the teachers have managed to deliver their subject well to the students.
In the Management Department, I personally liked certain faculty members i.e. Sunil sir, Ishrat Naaz ma’am, Mohammed Abdullah sir and Adhinarayana Rao sir

Dislikes

I didn’t like the way how the renovation works are carried during college hours.
The college doesn’t have a bus of its own and we have to get on the local RTC buses which doesn’t have basic neatness.
The washrooms of the BBA and the engineering blocks are the worst

Placement Experience:

The placements are good for the Engineering department and the MBA but not so good for the BBA department. And when we decide to sit for the college placements the faculty members manipulate us for higher studies etc
