Course Curriculum Overview

3

I have like computer science from the beginning from my 10th class so I choses particular course but year here in Gitam the course structure I would say that it is pretty outdated for us but for our juniors I have seen a lot of improvements and new courses are being added day by day this would give them a lot of benefit but for us I would say that the course actually updated and we are missing a lot of courses like applied artificial intelligence machine learning data science and also we are stuck with the very old programming languages like basic program language like python c Java this these are the only three languages that we are learning in this particular course which is pretty disappointing. I would really suggest that you should bring back absolute reading so that the students would be encourage to get good grade reduce the number of quizzes and focus on more classroom activities and start implementing not only learning with basic programming languages but how to apply those programming languages into creating apps software because during the final year we need to create some project so in that time the students are being unable of how to use that programming language in order to create a particular software which we are never thought about we are always thought about solving problems writing code to solve a particular problem we are never talk to integrate that code so that a software comes out of it. If you want to do something like a object recognition and developer app on it we don't know how to develop an app so by teaching the practical use of the programming languages on the students will be better learning

Placement Experience

3

For the campus placement will be conducted from our 7 semester so just ask me enter into a 4th year we would be bladder with camphorus in our face they would be no pre training for campus placements which is very bad there will be many companies that will be visiting for campus placements they include big companies. They offer packages from 3 lpa to 20 lpa but the majority will be getting lower packages and only a single digit number of students would be getting higher packages the average package for the software development associate would be around 4 LPA there would be companies like Accenture cognizant TCS Bosch Capgemini and many more companies would be offering software development associate roles here. The highest package offered was 19lpa the percentage of students getting placed are near 60 to 70% my plan after getting this degree is to get a good campus placement let me not to be the highest as they are would be a very thin chance of getting it so anything would do

Fees and Financial Aid

The year wise fee I paid is 3lakhs but the consequent years were increased by 25k approx each year.. the current fee holds in at 3.75lakh per year and it's floating it changes every year... For us it was constant. There aren't any extras every exam lab fee, library fee everything comes under this annual amount. However if you are paying it semester wise you'll need to pay 5% extra on annual fee... CSE is the highest fee others are around 1 lakh cheaper... There aren't any reservations here but there's NRI quota. There is a scholarship exam where you'll be able to get upto 75% discount on fee and you'll be required to maintain 8cgpa each semester. This is very hard as majority of exams are internal so we need to get approval of teachers rather than perform in exams. The fee is a bit unfair compared to the placement packages they offer

Campus Life

5

Campus life is very good focusing on the social aspects there would be a lot of people from different areas of the country and their would be also some people outside the country so the exposure could be really good and the majority of the languages spoken in the college were Telugu language as it is local and Hindi as majority of the people who come here from outside would be from the north part of India and we would see some people also from North eastern and Southern countries there are many clubs like kalakriti gusac cybersecurity pragna and Korean culture club rotract club and many others. There would be a lot of sports and extra curricular activities which are offered on campus the student will be available or can take up a sports in every semester this would also ad up to their credits full stop any student can run their own club or group which will be registered under the university this would greatly impact the student life and campus culture

Admission

The basic thing that I choose this college over the other colleges that applied like SRM and VIT is that SRM had a very bad reputation of having drugs and other issues at the time of corona 2019 so this is a major drawback and also at the time of applying for that college the college was still half baked and this cost a lot of inconvenience for the students so I opted not choose SRM while coming to VIT is till date has and constructed properly so if I would have choosed at there then till date I will be still learning in a half constructed college

Faculty

4

Firstly the girls to boys student ratio is almost equal when coming to the faculty to student relationship it is pretty good and there are 20 students allocated to each faculty so the student of faculty ratio is pretty good. In some of my favourite faculties are Yashwant sir and also Tarak Rama Rao sir this up the two great mentals that I have got they guided me through my academics and also helping with my projects. Coming to the exams you will have five quizzes for subject which accountant for 20 marks and two assignments which accommodate for 20 marks and one mid examination which accommodate for 30 marks this is the current situation. In the past it used to be 12 quizzes out of best of 10 would be taken for 20 marks 3 mid examinations 10 marks each for 30 marks and 5 assignments for 20 marks this would be so difficult so after contacting the faculty and hods the new rules have been implemented. Majorly many of the students would pass examinations easily but some students who don't have proper attendance and by the way we need 75% total attendance and 65% per subject attendance to successfully attend the final exam so students who fail to meet attendance requirements in mostly be failing the course otherwise it is pretty is easy to pass the course. The course curriculum is pretty relevant but there are some unwanted courses which are really and unwanted job to learn but we need to do just for the grades. Which is pretty disappointing. All the faculty is pretty good but since this is a faculty based grading system they provided an option for selecting the faculty that you like so here you should carefully think before chosen the faculty take some feedback from your seniors or some of your own faculty so that you wouldn't struggle for marks in the future

Night Life

5

There is a very good library with a very large collection of books and there are multiple cafeteria like around 20 to 25 cafeteria in the college so any food that you like will be available in any price range in the college and the college is open for delivery from outside or take out. no one is gonna restrain you from ordering food that you like. The college is very safe to Rome around outside as the hostels are inside the colleges so this would greatly improve the life of hostlers the campus timings are morning 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the students then wonder in the campus till 9:00 p.m. at 9:00 p.m. the campus gets will be closed the hostel get would be open till 10:00 p.m. there are many parks for hangout with your friends and there are large parking places for your vehicles if you have any there is a large gym which is recently renovated and it needs booking which is available through website the college is located in a very prime area so it is very safe

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum was relevant and covered all the important subjects, whichh was one of the main reasons I choose this course. it prepared me well for real-world applications, and the basics taught in class were helpful for further studies and job needs. Some area like addinf more practical work, updated tools, and industry-based training could improve the teaching quality. The exams were held regularly each semester, and the difficulty level was moderate, so students could pass easily with proper preparation.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I had been taken computer science and engineering in B.Tech . While I am pursuing intermediate I'm more passionate about becoming an software engineer, so for that reason I had taken CSE . Faculties want to teach us in a understanding way and make us to do gain more practical knowledge Some Improvements want to do in our course , because it mainly focuses on only theoretical part but not on practical part.. so for better understanding of theoretical subject we university want to improve curriculum of our course Computer science and engineering mainly focuses on developing or creating something by using different new technologies. It also connects with the daily use of things in our real world like ATM nd ecommerce etc
