As it is a govt institution, hostel fee was 8000 rupess per annum at that time(2017). I think it's quite affordable. Beside course fee you don't have to pay any fee for puja and other festival celebration as hostel authority grants huge amount for celebration. That time meal rate was 32/per meal. Now it is approx 40-42 rupees. I will recommend everyone to stay in hostel during course. It's give you a lot of friends and amusement. 5/5 for hostel

Hostels are very good having tiled floor, clean washrooms and double storied. There are 3 hostels for boys and rest for girls. The meals are also good to eat which included non veg in the weekend also. It is very affordable having a fees of ?10,000 per year. There are many PGs also near the college for both boys and girls.
There are many hostels for girls as well as boys. They all are fine. The fee structure is also decent. In the first year you have to pay 8000, in the second year you have to pay 6000 and in the final year you have to pay 4000. There is extra charges for the meal and the meal quality is also decent.
There are 8 hostels in total in GMU. Most of them easily accommodate more than one hundred students. They have 3 hostels for Ug boys and 3 for UG and PG girls respectively. There are 2 hostels for 11th and 12th students ( boys and girls separate). The rooms are spacious, enough for 3 people to live comfortably. The meal quality is good enough but it can surely be improved. You will be provided 2 meals each day, each priced around 35 rupees which is pretty cheap in my opinion. Hostel also provide exposure to all kinds of fun activities like sports. Seniors are kind and friendly. With rich experience ahead, you will surely enjoy your hostel life here.
There are around 7 hostels in this university ( 3 for boys, 3 for girls and 1 for + 2 boys ) as far as I know I live in Silver Jubilee Hostel. Rooms are big enough for 5 people to live in but most likely you will have 3 people living in the same room. You get all the basic facilities that you may need like water and electricity. Toilets are regularly cleaned and well maintained. Sanitizers are also installed at the hostel entrance. You will be provided 2 meals per day, each priced around 34 rupees, which is pretty cheap. The actual Meal quality Is good enough. Moreover the seniors are all very supportive and will guide you properly as you spend your days in the hostel. You will meet students from many parts of Odisha and the experience will surely be entertaining to say the least.
The university provides a separate hostel for boys and girls. There is 5 hostel for girls and 5 hostels for boys. The university charge Rs.12000 for a hostel per student. The university provides breakfast and meals for students with extra fees. The food made in a hostel is average in quality and taste. there are many chambers and rooms available near the university for rent.
Hostel infrastructure is very old. It was in bad condition. 6 students were alloted in a room. The food of camteen was very bad. They only gave us a bed,a table and a chair. Their is no self. Students feel congested in a room.
The hostel was decent with accommodation of 6 students in one room. The bathroom was common, had to share. The hostel was affordable and secured. The food was not bad. All in all it was good and decent.
No, i have not opted for hostel. I leaved in a room with my 3 friend. Room rent was 1000 for each. We cook for ourself. The total cost of mine was Rs3000 per month including room rent and two meals.
