28 Jan, 2026 OJEE 2026 Registration has begun @ojee.nic.in for various UG/PG admissions. The last date to apply is March 22, 2026. Further, OJEE 2026 is scheduled from May 4 to 9, 2026.

Gangadhar Meher University (GMU), Sambalpur is located in Odisha. It was established in the year 2015. The university offers 22 UG programs, 22 PG programs, 15 M.Phil. programs and also offers Ph.D. in 8 major departments including 1 foreign language program.

MBA

Seats under MBA course will be filled in two ways:

Offline Mode:

Candidates who will give Odisha JEE entrance exam for taking admission in the MBA program, have to fill the application form in the offline mode.
The candidates after giving OJEE, also have to appear for OJEE counseling.
The university can also take direct admissions in this category provided:

The candidate has valid national/state level entrance test score such as CAT, MAT, CMAT, etc., and
If there is any seats left after filling them from the OJEE examination.

Online mode:

For admission to MBA (in Financial Management only), the candidates have to fill the application form in the online mode.
The selection under this course will be done on the basis of merit – Career marks: Entrance Exam score in the ratio of 50:50.

Gangadhar Meher University UG Admission 2024

GM University offers several undergraduate courses covering a number of disciplines. The courses are for a duration of three years. For all the UG courses, the candidate must have cleared his 12^th standard from a recognized board in the respective stream. The selections will be done on the merit basis.

Key Note:

Candidates wanting to apply to Integrated B.A.-B.Ed. or B.Sc.-B.Ed., have to fill a separate application form for that.
A candidate who has already done a bachelor’s degree is not eligible to apply for the intergrated program.
The fees of both the Integrated courses is INR 35000.
Candidates who has pass their Class 12^th in Science, can apply for both the Integrated courses whereas, the candidates who have passed their Class 12^th in Arts stream, can only apply for only B.A.-B.Ed. Integrated program only.

Gangadhar Meher University PG Admission 2024

GM University offers several postgraduate courses covering a variety of subjects as well. The courses are for a duration of two years. The minimum eligibility for all the PG courses is a bachelor’s degree in the respective subject. The admission under each course will be done on the basis of an entrance test.

M.Sc. Computer Science:

The Entrance Test for M.Sc. Computer Science will include a total of 50 MCQs -

The candidate has to apply separately, if applying for more than one program.
For M.A./M.Sc./professional courses/technical courses, the applicant must have studied in a specific discipline at the undergraduate level and have attained 24 credits in the related discipline at the UG level, then only will the candidate be eligible to apply.
For M.Sc. course, the selection of the candidates will be done on the basis of marks obtained in the past academic career and the marks in the entrance exam, in the ration 50:50.
There will be no negative marking in the entrance test

Gangadhar Meher University MBA Admission 2024

Gangadhar Meher University, also offers MBA course admission through two modes. MBA (offline) and MBA in Financial Management, which is by applying through online admission portal. Eligibility for both offline and online MBA is a graduate degree in any honours stream from a recognized university. The selection in MBA (offline) will be done by the score obtained by the candidate in OJEE entrance exam followed by OJEE counseling. For MBA in Financial Management, whose admission is through online portal, the selection will be done on the basis of marks obtained in the career as well as marks in the entrance exam.

For MBA in Financial Management, the selection of the candidates will be done on the basis of marks obtained in the past academic career and the marks in the entrance exam, in the ration 50:50.

GM University offers degree of M.Phil. in 15 disciplines and Ph.D. in 8 disciplines. The minimum requirement for a candidate to apply in any of the M.Phil. and Ph.D. courses is, 55% of marks in a master’s degree or an equivalent. The candidates who have qualified UGC/CSIR/NET/SLET/endowed with UGC teacher Fellowship/ Study Leave from the Government of Odisha, DHE, are also eligible to apply for the course (M.Phil./Ph.D.). The admission will be given to the candidates on merit basis. For taking out the merit, the candidate’s career marks cum entrance test marks will be considered followed by Viva- voce.

The candidates from SC/ST/OBC (Non creamy layer)/PH category have to obtain 50% marks in the subject of the master’s degree for being eligible to apply.

The candidates who have secured at least 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent Grade ‘B’ in the UGC 7 point scale in their M.Phil., will also be exempted from appearing in the entrance test.
The selection will be based on the following basis:

Viva-voce performance – 20%

Gangadhar Meher University Application Process 2024

Candidates who wish to apply to the courses available at the University may do so by following the given steps.

Go to the official university website and can download the application form in PDF form.
Complete filling in the application form and take a print out.
Submit the print out along with the application fee to the University counter, either in cash or through bank draft, drawn in favour of ‘Comptroller of Finance, Gangadhar Meher University, Sambalpur’, payable at Sambalpur.
Copies of required self – attested documents must be submitted as well.
Applications can be sent via post or courier as well.
The general fee structure is INR 300 per form for all undergraduate courses.
The form costs for PG, M.Phil. and Ph.D. courses is INR 500 per form.

Compared to other universities like revenshaw or utkal, GMU offers a cost-effective education,but it lags in infrastructure, placement, faculty quality in some departments

I chose this college over other because of academic reputation, research and development opportunities, career and placement opportunities and campus and facilities. I couldn't make it to clothes college because of High cut off scores , competition level , document verification issues etc Eligibility was minimum requirement of 12 th grade percentage . College accept multiple entrance exams and cutoff vary every year based on competition. Final admission based on overall merits score and interview passed.

Our college admission process is very strict. Such procedure cam follow for admission in this college. High percentage students can apply ij this college because it is reputation college of our sambalpur. Many district students come to our college for study. In other college maximum fees charges but our college take low fees from their students. In other college low percent students can also applied but our GM college selected high percentage students.

Admission:

I applied for bjb college Bhubaneswar but I gotten admission in this college cause it is near from my hometown. The cuttoff of our college is high but in Bcom it's not more. The admission process was simple we need to apply for college in sams then go to college for further requirements.
