Ques. What is the difference between B.Voc. and B.Tech in terms of career prospects?
Ans. B.Voc. is a skill-based vocational degree focused on practical industry skills, while B.Tech is a traditional engineering degree with more theoretical depth. B.Voc. graduates are industry-ready and can find employment faster in the HVAC sector. However, B.Tech graduates have more options for higher education (M.Tech, MBA) and government jobs requiring engineering degrees. B.Voc. graduates can also pursue lateral entry into B.Tech programs.
Ques. Can B.Voc. (Refrigeration & Air Conditioning) graduates pursue higher education?

Ques. Is hostel facility available for B.Voc. students at SBSSU Gurdaspur?
Ans. Yes, SBSSU has hostel facilities for both boys and girls. The hostel fee is approximately Rs. 6,000 per semester, which is very affordable. Hostel rent is paid in two installments - half in August and half in January. Students need to apply separately for hostel accommodation as seats are limited.
