- I had classmates from all over — different countries, different cultures — and honestly, it really opened up how I looked at things. Just hearing their views made me think differently.
- Supportive teaching staff and faculties.
- The classrooms were pretty modern — fully digital, with smartboards, projectors, and fast internet. Everything you needed was right there.
Dislikes
- Placement and internship support are quite limited. The university doesn’t offer guaranteed opportunities, so most of it depends on your skills and how much effort you’re willing to put in. Finding a job often comes down to being proactive and sometimes, timing plays a role too.
- Studio accommodations offered by the college can be quite costly. With living expenses going up, managing day-to-day life as a student isn’t easy. Part-time jobs do help but it can take some time to find one. Still, if you plan things well balancing up to 20 hours of work with studies is manageable.
Campus Life
- My university has two main campuses; One is the City Campus (also called the Rose Bowl) right in the city Centre, and the other is Headingley Campus, which is in a more residential area of Headingley.
- The City Campus is where most of the business courses happen, and it's well-equipped. There’s a digital library where you can borrow books and laptops, modern computer labs, career support services, quiet study areas, and even health and student support offices. For sports and fitness, students usually go to the Carnegie Sports Centre at the Headingley Campus. It’s got a gym, indoor courts, and regular fitness classes.
- In terms of student life, there’s a lot going on. There are clubs and societies for everything — photography, drama, entrepreneurship, and a really active Indian Society. I joined the badminton groups. It was a nice break from classes.
- There are also events throughout the year: Freshers Week, cultural nights, volunteering fairs, career networking events, and international student meetups. These aren’t just fun; they really help you settle in and meet people.
- Honestly, if you're willing to put yourself out there, there’s plenty to explore outside the classroom. From volunteering to student-run events, being involved in campus life makes the whole university experience way more meaningful.
Fees
- So my MBA tuition at Leeds Beckett was around £14,500 for the year. I paid it in two chunks—one before getting my CAS, the other after I landed in the UK. That’s kind of the norm there. Most folks split it into two or three payments, depending on their course and what the university says.
- For housing, the university accommodation was somewhere between £400 and £700/month. Depends on the room, obviously. I didn’t go for that, though. Found a private flat for around £350 a month—bills included, which helped.
- Here’s roughly what I spent per month:
- Rent – £350
- Groceries – maybe £100–150
- Transport – £40–60 (with a student pass)
- Phone recharge – £10
- Other stuff—like £80–120 (eating out, random shopping)
- Altogether, I usually spent around £700 to £800 a month, give or take. Not too bad, especially once I got a part-time job.

- Diverse and Welcoming International Community
- Supportive teaching staff and faculties
- Strong focus on employability
Dislikes
- Limited administrative response time
- Old and basic accommodation offered by the university
- Less international recognition of the university, like University of Manchester or Leeds are more recognised and known
Campus Life
- My university has two main campuses; one is the City campus (Rose Bowl), located in the city centre and the other is Headingley campus, located in headingley.
- The campuses have libraries with access to books and laptops on loan; they have a little bar too called “ The Hive”, a cafeteria, study rooms, conference rooms, access to mental health support, access to IT support, and medical support.
- The major campus festival was the fresher’s week; it holds multiple activities to welcome new students throughout the week. Even old students can be a part of it. Holi, navratri dandiya, diwali are some of the occasions celebrated at the campus by the international community.
- There are a number of extracurricular activities, like cricket and football, cultural events, and networking events called Accelerate to join and network with people. Then there are elections for Student president, etc.
Fees
- Tuition fee – 15 lacs
- Hostel – 10 lacs
- The fees at the university are charged in 2 halves. One can pay the fee in one go, should they wish to. But majorly the fee is paid in 2 instalments. If anyone is struggling to pay the fee in 2 instalments as well, they can speak to the administration, and they can put a pay plan in place for them.
- Rent per month – 500 Gbp, Transport – 70 GBP, Groceries – 100 GBP, Miscellaneous – 100 GBP

- Quality Teaching and Education: The teaching methods consisted of lectures and seminars, both of which were really engaging and informative. The modules under my course were absolutely simulating both in terms of academic richness and vocational perspective.
- Research Driven Atmosphere: Most instructors heavily relied on current trends and evidence-based practices when it came to teaching and assignments, it really helped me to skim recent scientific literature and critically appraise them which is transferable for my professional journey.
- Infrastructure: My university and school of sport (Carnegie School of Sport) ranks within Top 5 sports school when it comes to research contribution mainly due its state of the art infrastructure which consists of highly equipped labs for practical sessions and aesthetically pleasing lecture halls with great facilities like 24/7 wifi access, access to various scientific journals both available online and offline respectively.
Dislikes
- High Tuition fees: Although compared to different universities for the same course, the tuition fees is usually higher but still tuition fees along with high accommodation costing is something that is really an issue to think about.
- Placements: Most universities in the UK, like mine, don't guarantee you with placements, even though we pay such a high amount of tuition fees, but landing a Job is fairly on one's skills, hard work and luck.
- Scholarships: However, I have been a top student with high grades in my bachelors additionally with my masters where I had received distinction and Dean's prize for Academic Excellence there are far less options for me to secure any. scholarships/funding for my PhD which really sucks.
Campus Life
- We had two campuses, one located in the City centre called City Campus fairly accessible and the other one was Headingley Campus based in Headingley with mostly. it, hospitality and sports related courses.
- We had all facilities such as library, sports facilities, and medical services based on the both campuses.
- Major events would be fresher's fair, fresher's party and monthly/weekly events run by global village community during festivals etc.
- We had loads of opportunities within the extracurricular activities such as sports, cultural events, student organizations including student union elections, parties and relevant. events. with diwali, holi and navratri.
Fees
- Since, my course was a masters course (postgraduate taught course) an year long course hence my fees was 16000 GBP.. and had to be paid within one go method (prior to the September) after accepting the Acceptance/Offer letter or could be paid in two instalments (once in Sept and then one no later than January i.e. before the second semester).
- Estimation of the monthly expenses is highly dependable, although I lived in the students which are relatively on the higher end, but I wanted to experience this and was an amazing one.. it was around 630 GBP bills included (Rent, Electricity, Gas, Wifi etc); but my friends had taken over cheaper options such as flat share, house share with inclusive packages ranging from 450 GBP-580 GBP. So it really depends on the students making their own choices about housing etc..
- As for groceries the average costs for a month was around 180-250 GBP, travel expenses were not that much for me, as I lived at walking distance to the Uni, and we had shuttle buses to travel between campuses which were absolutely free of cost.
- Travelling and outing costs about around 100-120 GBP, again depending on person to person.

- Huge campus with loads of amenities, a great gym and great cafes all around.
- Great staff who are always more than happy to help.
- Loads of opportunities for social sport and other events to socialize.
Dislikes
- Not enough accommodations on campus.
- Lack of financial help
- Frequent problems with the WIFI and computers in the library
Campus Life
- My college has 2 campuses. There's the city campus and the headingley campus.
- There are loads of facilities available on campus. There's cafes, gyms, astro pitches, indoor pitches, tennis, badminton and basketball courts and much more. Not aware of much of the social stuff on campus but there are plenty. Loads of sports teams to join that play competitively in the BUCS league.
Fees
- The fees for my course is £14,000 per annum.
- When it comes to accommodation it can be very variable. You can choose to stay in a student accommodation where you get your own rooms and share a flat with other students and have a common kitchen and utility space.Student accommodations are usually a bit on the expensive side that can range from anywhere between £5000 for a one year contract to £14,000 a year for expensive studio accommodations.
- Expenses also depend completely on you. On an average your expenses can be around £200-£300 a month. Your expenses also depend on where you stay in the UK. London and other major cities down south are more expensive than cities up north like Leeds.

- I liked the course structure overall. The HOD of the department was someone whom I was following since a very long time, and I was very inspired by his concepts, theories and his teaching method as well. And that was the main reason I chose leeds beckett. The HOD was Rudiger Theilmann, once I took the admission, I developed a bond with Rudiger as well during my course and found out that I was right about his teaching methods. I learnt a lot from him specifically while I was there, Infact am still learning from him after graduating as well. If someone is looking for PR and strategic communications course I highly recommend Leeds beckett
- As I mentioned earlier, it was a great experience I had in Leeds Beckett, the curriculum was totally updated with the industry standard, we had a lot of industrial exposures as well as research opportunities as well. We worked with UKs biggest PR agency PRCA and CIPR. We also collaborated with sheffield hallam university for industry presentations during our course.
Dislikes
- Nothing as such, except that the city campus didn't have a ground.
