- I liked the course structure overall. The HOD of the department was someone whom I was following since a very long time, and I was very inspired by his concepts, theories and his teaching method as well. And that was the main reason I chose leeds beckett. The HOD was Rudiger Theilmann, once I took the admission, I developed a bond with Rudiger as well during my course and found out that I was right about his teaching methods. I learnt a lot from him specifically while I was there, Infact am still learning from him after graduating as well. If someone is looking for PR and strategic communications course I highly recommend Leeds beckett
- As I mentioned earlier, it was a great experience I had in Leeds Beckett, the curriculum was totally updated with the industry standard, we had a lot of industrial exposures as well as research opportunities as well. We worked with UKs biggest PR agency PRCA and CIPR. We also collaborated with sheffield hallam university for industry presentations during our course.
Dislikes
- Nothing as such, except that the city campus didn't have a ground.
Overall experience was great. I really recommend everyone to at least get one experience studying abroad as it will be a lifetime experience as well. You will learn so much about life in general, as you will be working with people from different cultural and ethnic backgrounds you will be learning so much about those different cultural and ethnic backgrounds as well. You will make new friends from all over the world. You will also get a new perspective about yourself about your life once you took this opportunity of studying abroad

Exams
My scores: IELTS 8 in 2021. The admission requirements for my university was overall a 7 band score in IELTS. . I have submitted SoP mentioning why I am choosing this university, the specified course, how it will benefit me in my career and in my life. I have submitted LoRs as well, from the Head of the department from my undergrad course and also submitted LoR from one of the assistant professors from my undergrad course. I have submitted LoR from the last employer I had before taking admission as well. I have submitted my CV mentioning all the work experiences that I had at the time when I applied for the course. Interview round: My suggestion would be - 1. Be confident, and say what you believe. 2. Don't sugar coat anything, be confident about the skills you have before going to the university abroad. Because it will be another stepping stone of your career and life but it's not the only option out there so don't be scared about anything.
Placement
It was great.
Internship
I got an apprenticeship at NEXUS PR in London, once I finished the course,
Fees
10000 GBP.
Scholarship
I have received a scholarship from the university itself. It was Dean's scholarship if I remember it correctly. And it was for about 7000 GBP. My overall course fee was 10000 GBP and I had to pay 3000 GBP after getting the scholarship.
Faculty
During my time our faculty was great. Led by Rudiger Theilmann, there's more amazing professors like Shirley Beresford, Audra diers lawson, Richard etc. Everyone was super inspiring and approachable. Especially rudiger. He helped me with any queries I had, or even with struggles in my personal life as well. He always gives you the best suggestion. If someone is getting the PR and strategic comms course in LEEDS BECKETT, do communicate with rudiger, he might seem like he is very strict, but trust me if you communicate, you will find out that he is one of the best guide, teacher, or friend you will come across ever in your life.
Campus Life
Campus life was great, there were many events and chances of participation for us during our course.
Hostel
I got a studio apartment from the university it self. As I got a scholarship for my accommodation as well. It was a studio apartment with my own unit (bedroom, kitchen, bathroom and toilet). The rent for the apartment was 800 GBP Per month (Including wifi and electricity and washing bills as well) I know it sounds expensive and it is expensive as well if you are paying for your rent. If you are not paying for your rent and got a scholarship then it might be affordable to you. But I suggest if you are going abroad, go for shared apartments or apartments which are little far from city centre, but in walking distance, so that you can save a lot in transport as well as in rent. As accommodations little far from city centre are much cheaper.
