Leeds Beckett University Rankings 2026-27: QS, THE, Subject Rankings & UK Standing

• I am not sure about the average salary. However, according to my experience, it is extremely difficult to find a full-time job in sports. I found a job in marketing within the university itself as soon as I finished my course.
• I had to go through several rejections before I got selected. I found jobs through online websites, the university careers portal, and by networking with people.

• I used online websites and went in person later to check accommodations. In my first year, I paid £142 per week. For the next 2 years, I lived in a different student accommodation and paid £120 per week.

• After finishing the MBA at Leeds Beckett, finding a full-time job depends a lot on your own effort, networking, and any past experience you might have. Unlike India, there's no guarantee of campus placements here so you really have to be proactive. From what I saw, around 50% to 60% of students landed jobs within six months after graduating, especially those who had done internships or worked part-time during the course.
• Starting salaries usually fall somewhere between £24,000 and £35,000 per year. If you already have some work experience or get into a good company, you might even get a bit more.
• Most people in my batch found jobs through LinkedIn or job sites like Indeed and Glassdoor. A few found leads through networking, university career fairs, or alumni connections. Some even got offers from the same companies where they worked part-time or interned during their studies.
• A few of my batchmates ended up working in roles like marketing executive, operations assistant or HR associate. Some got internships or contract roles at places like Capita, NHS, Coop, and even Deloitte. Others joined smaller firms or consultancies around Leeds and nearby cities.

• I went for off-campus accommodation during my MBA. Found it through SpareRoom mostly, and also joined a couple of WhatsApp and Facebook groups where students shared available rooms or looked for flatmates. That actually helped a lot—it's how I found the place I ended up living in.
• MY Rent was around £350 a month and that covered everything: WiFi, heating, electricity, water, all the basics. The house was furnished and I shared it with other students. The house where I lived was also inhabited by people form others countries - Nigerians, British, Chinese, and Indians—which kept costs manageable and made it feel less lonely too.
• One big challenge? Finding something before reaching the UK. A lot of landlords wanted in-person viewings, and not all online listings were reliable. To avoid stress, I actually booked college accommodation for the first month. Once I was in Leeds, I could look around and get a proper feel for the areas before choosing a long-term place.
• The house I picked later was about 15–20 minutes from the City Campus by bus, not too bad. A lot of Indian students stay in areas like Hyde Park, Headingley, and Burley. They're cheaper and filled with students so it’s easier to settle in.
• One thing I’d say is try not to book long-term accommodation just from looking online. Prices are often high and photos don’t always match reality. If you can talk to someone already living there or just stay somewhere temporary first, then find something better once you're there. Also always double-check listings and never pay anything upfront without seeing the place or verifying the landlord.
   

• Approx. 80% of students get employed within 6 months of graduating.
• The salary ranges between 25000 GBP and 40000 GBP.
• Students typically secure jobs through job fairs held by the university on campus; it is not campus placement but a great opportunity to meet employers and network with them by sharing the resume and profile details with them. Students also get help by networking with batchmates in job seeking; LinkedIn is also a helpful tool.
• My friends were placed in banks like HSBC, Barclays, Lloyds Bank, Yorkshire Building Society, EY, etc. Their placement experience was great. The interviews were a bit challenging but if you have the relevant skills and you are prepared enough, there are high chances of getting the job offer.

• I found my accommodation through apps like SpareRoom. They offer properties to rent for students.
• My monthly rent was 500 GBP. It included electricity and gas bills. The property offered a personal room with a single bed, almirah, study table, shared bathroom, kitchen and living room.
• The only challenge was to find a guarantor for myself. My letting agent asked me to pay 6 months' rent upfront or find someone who can be my guarantor so that I don’t miss out on any rent payments. I chose to pay 6 months of rent upfront.
• Future students should use apps like SpareRoom to find accommodation; they can also visit real estate agent’s offices. But the best is online apps. Make sure to know what is being promised before finalising any property and ensure there are no hidden charges.
• My accommodation was 15 mins away by walk from my campus. Most Indian students either stay in Trinity Accommodation hall or near hyde park in private houses.

• 20-30% of my batchmates have landed jobs in their fields and some are in the process of landing ones.. it fairly depends on the industry in which one is looking for the jobs.. people who suffer mostly are the ones doing management jobs, manufacturing jobs, IT roles, it is highly competitive.
• There are no campus recruitments at my universities, most relevant methods would be networking and making relations with hiring teams/managers and constantly trying for roles. NHS could be one of the biggest employers for physiotherapists, and many private clinics like Bodyset, Pure physiotherapy.

• I found my accommodation through a recommendation made by a college senior who has lived their previously when she was a student at my University.
• My monthly rent inclusive of all bills was 149 GBP/Week or 630 GBP/month, I did not face any challenges finding an accommodation.. I booked it in June 2023 after I received my. CAS letter.
• It was 15 mins (1mi) away from my City campus where 45% of classes were held and 35mins walking (2.5mi) 15 mins from buses; from my accommodation.
• To be honest, my accommodation had a lot of Indian students too, but most of them live in Headingley, Woodhouse, Hyde park areas with house share facilities.

• Don't know figures but there is a good chance of getting a graduate job after completing your course.
• For graduates the average salary can range from £22,000 to £35,000. It also depends on your role and the company.

• I found my accommodation through the university portal. Then for my second year accommodation I got a rented house from a student letting agency.
• Again monthly rent depends on your accommodation and various external factors. My rent currently is £450 per month. 
• For getting an accommodation it depends on your preferences. If you want to stay close to the uni, probably on uni campus it will be more expensive but convenient. If you do not mind staying away from uni you can get great houses for cheap but you will spend a bit more on travel. My current accommodation is around 4-5 kms from my uni.

On my course, 91% students are into employment or further education within 15 months of graduation.

I chose Leeds Beckett because it has world-class sports facilities. And my experience at the university was amazing. I was able to develop academically and personally.

I didn't use the university placement facility as I already had a job but I checked the portal they do have quite a few jobs for graduates but very less to no opportunities for those with experience.

The reason for choosing this country was it is still closer to India in terms of travel time. Course structure is good and it really helped in my career. Got a job along with my course in my field.

It was great.

Overall experience was great. I really recommend everyone to at least get one experience studying abroad as it will be a lifetime experience as well. You will learn so much about life in general, as you will be working with people from different cultural and ethnic backgrounds you will be learning so much about those different cultural and ethnic backgrounds as well. You will make new friends from all over the world. You will also get a new perspective about yourself about your life once you took this opportunity of studying abroad

There is no placement opportunity for postgraduates this year due to the impact of the Covid pandemic.

My admission was in pending with other universities due to a lack of LORs. but in LBU I got admission without LOR so I have chosen it.

From this year UK is provided 2 year post visa for work. University have great placement team they send you time to time with updates like recent opening, organize workshops like how to prepare for interview CVs.

I liked thia University as it in tier 2 University. I was impressed by its world ranking (100-300) which was great in my budget. It has great footprint in world market.
