Leeds Beckett University fees are £16,840 (INR 18.19 Lakhs) a year for undergraduate courses and £18,440 (INR 19.92 Lakhs) for taught postgraduate degrees. Most Indian applicants join the MBA at a total two-year cost of £31,750 (INR 34.29 Lakhs), or MSc Data Science and MSc International Business at £18,440 (INR 19.92 Lakhs) for one year.

The closest realistic entry point is the January 2027 intake, which is postgraduate-only at Leeds Beckett and stays open through mid-October 2026 for most PG programmes. The September 2027 intake, covering both UG and PG, is the standard full-cycle window, with UCAS applications opening in September 2026 and PG applications rolling. September 2026 is not achievable for new Indian applicants given the 6 to 8 week UK Student Visa (the study permit granted by UKVI) processing timeline.

Fee snapshot for the current admission cycle:

  • Undergraduate international fee: £16,840 per year (INR 18.19 Lakhs), applied flat across standard BA and BSc programmes
  • Standard MSc/MA taught postgraduate: £18,440 per year (INR 19.92 Lakhs) for one-year Masters degrees
  • MBA (full-time, two years): £19,060 per year (INR 20.58 Lakhs), with fixed total programme cost of £31,750 (INR 34.29 Lakhs)
  • Full Payment Discount: 3% off tuition when the annual fee is paid in full at registration
  • International Student Scholarship (auto-awarded): £3,000 (INR 3.24 Lakhs) for taught PG first year; £1,000 (INR 1.08 Lakhs) per year for UG

External Indian awards for the September 2027 entry, Inlaks Shivdasani, JN Tata Endowment, KC Mahindra, Narotam Sekhsaria, and Aga Khan Foundation, open between November 2026 and February 2027, with closing dates ranging from 12 March 2027 to 12 April 2027.

A CAS deposit (Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies, the document you need for the Student Visa) of £4,000 (INR 4.32 Lakhs) is due at offer acceptance and counts against your first-year tuition. The remaining balance is billed in three instalments: 50% at registration, 25% at the start of Term 2, and 25% before Term 3. Paying the annual fee in full at registration triggers a 3% Full Payment Discount, worth £553 (INR 59,724) on a taught PG programme. Wire transfers from India take five to seven working days to clear, so initiate them at least ten days before the deposit deadline on your offer letter.

The total first-year budget for an Indian student on a Leeds Beckett MSc, tuition plus 12 months of living costs plus visa and health surcharge, works out to roughly INR 34 to 35 Lakhs. A three-year undergraduate degree lands between INR 88 Lakhs and 1 Crore all-in, before scholarships.

September 2027 Intake: Planning Cycle for Indian Applicants at Leeds Beckett University

Intake: The January 2027 intake, postgraduate only, is the closest realistic entry point and stays open through 15 October 2026 for most PG programmes. September 2027, covering both UG and PG, opens for UCAS applications in September 2026 and is the standard full-cycle option. September 2026 is not achievable for new applicants given the 6 to 8 week UK Student Visa processing timeline.

Fee update: The January 2027 intake is billed at the 2026/27 rate of £16,840 (INR 18.19 Lakhs) for UG (offered September only) and £18,440 (INR 19.92 Lakhs) for taught PG. September 2027 shifts to the 2027/28 rate, expected around £17,700 UG (INR 19.12 Lakhs) and £19,300 taught PG (INR 20.84 Lakhs). Net PG cost after the automatic £3,000 (INR 3.24 Lakhs) scholarship drops to £15,440 (INR 16.68 Lakhs) for the first year.

When to pay: A £4,000 (INR 4.32 Lakhs) CAS deposit is due at offer acceptance and applies to first-year tuition. The remaining balance is invoiced in three instalments (50%, 25%, 25%) across the academic year. Wire transfers from India need 5 to 7 working days to clear. Paying the full annual fee at registration triggers a 3% discount, worth £553 (INR 59,724) on a standard PG.

Scholarships: The £3,000 (INR 3.24 Lakhs) International Student Scholarship applies automatically to the PG first-year invoice, no form needed. External Indian awards, Inlaks (closes 12 March 2027), JN Tata (early April 2027), KC Mahindra (early April 2027), Narotam Sekhsaria (12 April 2027), and Aga Khan Foundation (31 March 2027), open November 2026 to February 2027 for September 2027 entry.

Leeds Beckett University Cost of Living in Leeds for Indian Students

Living in Leeds costs an Indian student between £915 and £1,185 per month (INR 98,820 to 1,27,980), roughly 25 to 35% cheaper than London and about 15% cheaper than Manchester. The UKVI maintenance requirement for a Student Visa outside London is £1,023 (INR 1.10 Lakhs) per month for up to nine months, which is what UKVI expects to see in your bank account for the visa application.

Note: On-campus accommodation at Kirkstall Brewery, Woodhouse Flats, and Whitehall Court runs £470 to £660 per month (INR 50,760 to 71,280), with all bills and Wi-Fi included. Private studios in Leeds city centre cost £700 to £900 per month (INR 75,600 to 97,200) with bills often separate, so factor 20 to 25% more.

Leeds is one of the more affordable UK student cities, thanks to a resident student population of over 65,000 across four universities, which keeps rental and grocery competition high. A meal at the University Refectory or a curry at Aagrah on Leeds Kirkstall Road costs £8 to £12 (INR 864 to 1,296), a fifth of what you would pay in central London.

Currency Tip: Your first payment is the £4,000 (INR 4.32 Lakhs) CAS deposit at offer acceptance for the January 2027 or September 2027 intake. Fund it through a Wise or forex card transfer rather than a traditional SWIFT bank wire, and lock the GBP rate on the day you fund it. This route saves 2 to 3% on the transfer versus SWIFT and gives a live rate lock, worth around INR 8,000 to 13,000 on that single payment.

Leeds Beckett University Total Cost of Study for Indian Students

The first-year total cost for an Indian student at Leeds Beckett University runs between INR 30 Lakhs (undergraduate) and INR 35 Lakhs (MBA), covering tuition, living, and one-off visa and health surcharge fees. The full programme cost lands at approximately INR 91 Lakhs for a 3-year UG, INR 34.90 Lakhs for a 1-year MSc, and INR 63.71 Lakhs for a 2-year MBA.

Mandatory Fees Y1 = UK Student Visa fee of £490 (INR 52,920, paid once outside the UK) plus IHS (Immigration Health Surcharge, paid upfront with the Student Visa application) of £776 (INR 83,808) for one year. IHS is charged upfront for the full visa duration, so a 3-year UG applicant pays £2,328 (INR 2.51 Lakhs) upfront and a 2-year MBA applicant pays £1,552 (INR 1.68 Lakhs) upfront.

Full programme totals, accounting for full-duration IHS paid at visa stage and living costs across all years, work out to:

  • 3-year UG: Tuition £50,520 (INR 54.56 Lakhs) plus living £31,500 (INR 34.02 Lakhs) plus visa/IHS £2,818 (INR 3.04 Lakhs) = INR 91.62 Lakhs
  • 1-year MSc: INR 34.90 Lakhs (see table)
  • 2-year MBA: Tuition £31,750 (INR 34.29 Lakhs) plus living £25,200 (INR 27.22 Lakhs) plus visa/IHS £2,042 (INR 2.20 Lakhs) = INR 63.71 Lakhs

Financing a 2-year MBA through an Indian education loan of INR 50 Lakhs works out to an EMI of roughly INR 67,000 per month for 10 years at 10.5% interest. Financing a 3-year UG on a INR 90 Lakhs loan translates to an EMI of about INR 1.21 Lakh per month at the same tenure and rate.

Key Insight: The controllable saving before your first instalment is INR 3.73 Lakhs on a taught PG. Combine the automatic £3,000 (INR 3.24 Lakhs) International Student Scholarship with the 3% Full Payment Discount worth £463 (INR 50,000 on the discounted balance) to bring your net first-year PG tuition from £18,440 down to £14,987 (INR 16.19 Lakhs). Lock this saving by paying the full annual fee at registration for the January 2027 or September 2027 intake.

Tip for Indian Students: Your first move for the September 2027 intake is to secure your Leeds Beckett University offer letter before the JN Tata and Inlaks portals open in December 2026 and February 2027 respectively. Both foundations require you to have applied to or received an offer from your target university at the time of application, and neither accepts late submissions. Aim to have your offer in hand by end-November 2026 so the Inlaks 12 March 2027 deadline and the JN Tata early April 2027 deadline are both open runway.

Leeds Beckett University Hidden Costs for Indian Students

Beyond tuition and rent, an Indian student at Leeds Beckett University faces around INR 4 to 5 Lakhs of one-off and easily-forgotten costs in the first six months. The IHS payment alone runs INR 84,000 for one year of PG, INR 2.51 Lakhs for three years of UG, and is paid upfront with the Student Visa application.

  • UK Student Visa fee: £490 (INR 52,920), one-time, paid to UKVI when submitting the visa application from India
  • Immigration Health Surcharge (IHS): £776 per year (INR 83,808), paid upfront for the full visa duration, gives NHS healthcare access
  • CAS deposit: £4,000 (INR 4.32 Lakhs), counts toward first-year tuition but must clear before UKVI issues the CAS number
  • IELTS test fee: £215 (INR 23,220) per attempt in India, plus INR 2,300 for delivery of Test Report Forms to Leeds Beckett
  • Pre-departure medical and TB screening: £70 to £100 (INR 7,560 to 10,800) at UKVI-approved clinics in India, mandatory for visa
  • Initial UK setup (bedding, kitchen, winter jacket): £350 to £500 (INR 37,800 to 54,000), spent in the first two weeks in Leeds
  • Bank transfer fees: 1% to 2% on each INR to GBP SWIFT wire (roughly INR 20,000 to 40,000 on tuition transfers per year); Wise or forex cards cut this to about 0.4%
  • Graduation ceremony and gown hire: £45 (INR 4,860), booked in your final term

Budget approximately INR 4 to 5 Lakhs for these first-year hidden costs on a 1-year MSc, or INR 6 to 7 Lakhs on a 3-year UG (mostly IHS scaling with visa length).

Note: The single hidden cost most Indian families overlook is the IHS, which is paid in one upfront lump before your visa is issued. For a 3-year UG applicant, this is £2,328 (INR 2.51 Lakhs) landing 6 to 8 weeks before you fly, on top of the tuition deposit. Ring-fence this amount in your loan disbursement plan so it does not clash with your CAS deposit or first-instalment tuition.

Leeds Beckett University Fee Saving Strategies for Indian Students

The most urgent saving lever is stacking the automatic PG scholarship with the Full Payment Discount at registration for the January 2027 or September 2027 intake. That single stack is worth roughly £3,463 (INR 3.73 Lakhs) off first-year taught PG tuition, before you touch external scholarships or part-time work.

  • Stack the automatic scholarship and Full Payment Discount: The £3,000 (INR 3.24 Lakhs) International Student Scholarship applies automatically to your first-year PG invoice. Pay the discounted balance in full at registration to trigger a further 3% discount worth £463 (INR 50,000). Net first-year PG tuition drops from £18,440 to £14,987 (INR 16.19 Lakhs).
  • Live in on-campus halls, not private studios: Kirkstall Brewery, Woodhouse Flats, and Whitehall Court average £520 per month (INR 56,160) with bills included, versus £800 (INR 86,400) for a private city-centre studio. Over 12 months this saves INR 3.63 Lakhs.
  • Use Student Visa work rights: Your Student Visa allows up to 20 hours of paid work per week in term-time and 40 hours during vacations. At the UK National Living Wage of £11.44 per hour (INR 1,235), 20 hours a week for 30 term weeks generates £6,864 (INR 7.41 Lakhs) toward living costs.
  • Claim Section 80E on your Indian education loan: Indian tax law lets you deduct 100% of the interest paid on an education loan under Section 80E for 8 assessment years. On a INR 40 Lakhs loan at 10.5%, this can save INR 1 to 1.30 Lakhs in tax per year during repayment.
  • Plan for the UK Graduate Route Visa: After completing a Masters at Leeds Beckett University, the Graduate Route Visa gives you 2 years of post-study work rights in the UK without needing a job offer up-front. A graduate role at £28,000 to £32,000 (INR 30.24 to 34.56 Lakhs annually) offsets your full 1-year MSc cost within 12 to 14 months of earnings.

Tip for Indian Students: The highest-value saving lever for the September 2027 intake is the JN Tata Endowment gift grant, which awards up to INR 7.50 Lakhs (top-tier award) with no repayment required. Applications open December 2026 for the September 2027 UK entry, close early April 2027, and require an offer letter from Leeds Beckett University before you apply. Book your Leeds Beckett offer no later than end-November 2026 so the JN Tata window is fully usable.

An Indian student joining Leeds Beckett University in the January 2027 or September 2027 intake should plan a first-year budget of INR 30 to 35 Lakhs, dropping to INR 26 to 32 Lakhs after stacking the automatic International Student Scholarship and the Full Payment Discount. Financing this on a INR 30 Lakhs education loan translates to an EMI of around INR 40,000 per month for 10 years at 10.5%, which a UK graduate salary of INR 30 to 34 Lakhs comfortably services. The single most important action for the current intake cycle is to submit your PG application for the January 2027 intake before the mid-October 2026 deadline (if ready), or to lock a Leeds Beckett offer letter by end-November 2026 so the December 2026 to April 2027 external scholarship windows stay fully open.

After the initial £4,000 (INR 4.32 Lakhs) CAS deposit, the remaining annual fee is split into three instalments: 50% at registration in September (or January for the winter intake), 25% at the start of Term 2, and 25% before Term 3. Paying the full annual fee upfront at registration instead triggers a 3% Full Payment Discount, worth £553 (INR 59,724) on a taught PG.

Ques. Are there any hidden fees at Leeds Beckett University for Indian students?

Ans. The main non-tuition costs are the UK Student Visa fee of £490 (INR 52,920), the IHS at £776 (INR 83,808) per year paid upfront for the full visa duration, IELTS test at £215 (INR 23,220), pre-departure medicals at £70 to £100 (INR 7,560 to 10,800), initial UK setup at £350 to £500 (INR 37,800 to 54,000), and bank transfer fees of 1 to 2% per SWIFT wire. Budget INR 4 to 5 Lakhs of these first-year hidden costs on a 1-year MSc, INR 6 to 7 Lakhs on a 3-year UG.

Ques. Do Leeds Beckett University fees increase each year?

Ans. Yes, but only for new intakes. Once you accept an offer, your annual fee is locked for the full duration of your course. Leeds Beckett has raised UG international fees by 3.6% to 8.6% each year over the past five cycles, with the average sitting at approximately 5.4% per year. The September 2027 UG rate is projected around £17,700 (INR 19.12 Lakhs), up from £16,840 (INR 18.19 Lakhs) for 2026/27.

Ques. What is the UK Student Visa cost for Leeds Beckett University applicants?

Ans. The UK Student Visa application fee is £490 (INR 52,920), paid once to UKVI when submitting the application from India. The IHS runs an additional £776 (INR 83,808) per year, paid upfront for the full visa duration. A 1-year MSc applicant pays £1,266 (INR 1.37 Lakhs) combined, a 3-year UG applicant pays £2,818 (INR 3.04 Lakhs), and a 2-year MBA applicant pays £2,042 (INR 2.20 Lakhs).

Ques. What is the difference between UG and PG fees at Leeds Beckett University?

Ans. Undergraduate international fees at Leeds Beckett University are £16,840 (INR 18.19 Lakhs) per year, taught postgraduate is £18,440 (INR 19.92 Lakhs) per year, and the MBA is £19,060 (INR 20.58 Lakhs) per year. PG students receive a larger automatic scholarship (£3,000 versus £1,000 for UG), so the net PG first-year fee gap narrows to about £1,600 (INR 1.73 Lakhs) per year over standard UG.

  • The MBA course was okay, not too tough but not super easy either the professors explained things clearly and used real examples from business instead of just boring theory, which helped a lot we had group work and discussions, which made things more practical. I liked that we could actually understand how things apply in real life instead of just reading stuff from slides
  • One of the most positive aspects was the support we received from the course director and faculty; they were genuinely approachable and the course was structured well. It encouraged independent research, especially while working on assignments. However, one downside was the lack of clear communication regarding schedule changes. If a lecture was cancelled or rescheduled, it was usually updated on the MyBeckett portal, but there wasn’t any formal email notification, which sometimes led to confusion.
  • The best part was how much support we got from our course director and all the teachers. They were honestly super easy to talk to, which made a big difference, and the course itself was put together really well. It even pushed us to do our own research, especially when we had assignments, which was actually pretty cool.
  • The only real hassle was when the schedule changed. If a class got cancelled or moved, they'd update it on the MyBeckett portal, but we never got an email about it. That could definitely cause some confusion sometimes.
  • In my MBA course at the City Campus, there were around 20–25 students in total. Out of them, about 10 students were Indian. Since the batch size was small, we weren’t divided further, and we mostly had classes together in the same group.
  • Class timings were usually between 10 AM and 3 PM. Mostly one or two lectures a day, with breaks in between. It gave us some breathing space—especially if you were working part-time or needed time to prep for assignments.

Fees

  • So my MBA tuition at Leeds Beckett was around £14,500 for the year. I paid it in two chunks—one before getting my CAS, the other after I landed in the UK. That’s kind of the norm there. Most folks split it into two or three payments, depending on their course and what the university says.
  • For housing, the university accommodation was somewhere between £400 and £700/month. Depends on the room, obviously. I didn’t go for that, though. Found a private flat for around £350 a month—bills included, which helped.
  • Here’s roughly what I spent per month:
    • Rent – £350
    • Groceries – maybe £100–150
    • Transport – £40–60 (with a student pass)
    • Phone recharge – £10
    • Other stuff—like £80–120 (eating out, random shopping)
  • Altogether, I usually spent around £700 to £800 a month, give or take. Not too bad, especially once I got a part-time job.

  • The difficulty of my course curriculum was moderate according to me. The professors would go through each topic in the lectures with students. But it was less theoretical and more about real-life examples and practical activities to understand those concepts.
  • The most positive aspect, of course, was that the course director and faculty were extremely helpful and the course was very well designed. It pushed every student to do their individual research and then write their assignments. The most negative part was that few things remained unclear, as most of the communication about cancelled or delayed lectures happened through updating the portal called MyBeckett. There was no formal mailer sent to the students informing the same.
  • 3-4 lectures are typically scheduled in a day. And timings start from 9 AM until 6 PM BST.
  • In my batch there were around 20 students.
  • Approx. 12 students were Indian in my batch.

Fees

  • Tuition fee – 15 lacs
  • Hostel – 10 lacs
  • The fees at the university are charged in 2 halves. One can pay the fee in one go, should they wish to. But majorly the fee is paid in 2 instalments. If anyone is struggling to pay the fee in 2 instalments as well, they can speak to the administration, and they can put a pay plan in place for them.
  • Rent per month – 500 Gbp, Transport – 70 GBP, Groceries – 100 GBP, Miscellaneous – 100 GBP

  • I would say that modules in the course were fairly tough and were specialised according to the demand of the course I have chosen, and related to the prospects of the profession while also touching various other perspectives such as Bio-mechanists, Exercise Physiologists etc. Moreover, my course was a mic of both practical and theoretical learning, in labs and lecture halls.
  • As stated earlier, initially the positives and negatives that stand out to me is educational purpose that the degree has served me, along with that placement opportunities would have made it more sound for students like me,
  • Usually one or two classes, but 3-4 days a week with a mix of practical seminars and theoretical lectures or Online webinars as well.
  • I had quite a lot Indian students in my course, roughly about 40-45 Indian students.

Fees

  • Since, my course was a masters course (postgraduate taught course) an year long course hence my fees was 16000 GBP.. and had to be paid within one go method (prior to the September) after accepting the Acceptance/Offer letter or could be paid in two instalments (once in Sept and then one no later than January i.e. before the second semester).
  • Estimation of the monthly expenses is highly dependable, although I lived in the students which are relatively on the higher end, but I wanted to experience this and was an amazing one.. it was around 630 GBP bills included (Rent, Electricity, Gas, Wifi etc); but my friends had taken over cheaper options such as flat share, house share with inclusive packages ranging from 450 GBP-580 GBP. So it really depends on the students making their own choices about housing etc..
  • As for groceries the average costs for a month was around 180-250 GBP, travel expenses were not that much for me, as I lived at walking distance to the Uni, and we had shuttle buses to travel between campuses which were absolutely free of cost.
  • Travelling and outing costs about around 100-120 GBP, again depending on person to person.

  • The course is pretty easy but the difficulty is that it is very subjective. It is quite practical which I like but there's also a bit of theory.
  • There's quite a lot of case studies used to explain different theories of modules which helps a lot. There's lectures and seminars for each module.
  • Lectures are on mondays. They are an hour long and they usually brief you about the topic for the week. You will then have a seminar in the week for the same module and same topic. Seminars are two hours long and more interactive and in general are more engaging and you get to learn more in depth about the topic.
  • There are around 150 students in my course. All 150 attend lectures together on Monday. Seminar groups are smaller and have around 20-25 students in each seminar. There are around 15-20 Indian students in my course.

Fees

  • The fees for my course is £14,000 per annum.
  • When it comes to accommodation it can be very variable. You can choose to stay in a student accommodation where you get your own rooms and share a flat with other students and have a common kitchen and utility space.Student accommodations are usually a bit on the expensive side that can range from anywhere between £5000 for a one year contract to £14,000 a year for expensive studio accommodations.
  • Expenses also depend completely on you. On an average your expenses can be around £200-£300 a month. Your expenses also depend on where you stay in the UK. London and other major cities down south are more expensive than cities up north like Leeds.

As I mentioned earlier, it was a great experience I had in Leeds Beckett, the curriculum was totally updated with the industry standard, we had a lot of industrial exposures as well as research opportunities as well. We worked with UKs biggest PR agency PRCA and CIPR. We also collaborated with sheffield hallam university for industry presentations during our course.
