From the last three year i gain very much knowledge from the college.

We have 8 semester in our course. Each semester has credits in every subject we get grade in every subject and the gpa is calculated based on the grade and the credits of individual subject. At the end of the last semester we get CGPA which is based on overall semester

Placement Experience

There are various local company as well as national company come for placement in our college. Since our college is not so old so we are hopping for more company to visit in future.

College Events

There are different workshop held every year in our college related to IT based, robotics, etc. There is techfest held in our college every year.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is a little more compare to other govt college but relatively very less compare to other private engineering college.

Fees and Financial Aid

Since it is govt college and fee is not much so there is no loan system in our college but every year we got govt scholarship.

We got considerably good labs,library and every year there is intercollege sports competition held in our college.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes they are very helpful to us. They help us with different problems ,they give us good mentor.

Admission

There is a state level entrance exam held every year in ASSAM called CEE(common entrance exam). The selection process of admission in our college is based on the marks obtain in the the entrance exam.

Faculty

We got very skilled and talented faculty in our college. They are very friendly and helpful in our course. They also help us with mentally. We are happy to have such faculty members in our college.

Placements are not really good in our college, it is more of a research institute so it mainly focuses on PhD as PhD strength is good. Higher education is more prefered here but placement scenario is also good

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is very relevant and is different for different branches according to their needs. I was interested in civil engineering and chose the course and find the curriculum intersting and relevant for me . The curriculum offers subject which are important for real world applications, like in civil engineering it's offers subjects like building construction, solid mechanics, fluid mechanics, material testing, serving, etc. The course curriculum is very good but the teaching methods needs improvement like more digitalization . The exams frequency and timings are neither too late nor too early, they are perfectly planned and executed.

Digboi college and my experience through it .

Course Curriculum Overview:

There exists a good teaching staff that's why the course is very easy to understand also teachers give us good examples also do practicals so that's students understand the course easily . I see that there exist a low no of equipments in practical lab compare to it's students ratio so if they have a good no of equipments then all students get equipment to do experiment without any waste of time . Time is good as compare to marks and the first 30 marks are beginner level the other 40 marks are intermediate level and the remaining 30 Marks are advanced level questions in a question paper for the students they published.

Life in GIPS

Placement Experience:

In the 8th semister, students will eligible for campus placement. Our college will organize campus placement. Where different companies come and if you pass the interview then you will get the job. Companys like sun pharma, Ajanta pharma will come. And they have different requirements. In starting you will get 2.5 lakhs of the package and other offers are there. In GIPS most of the students get the placement. My plan after b pharm is I will study for M pharm in GIPS.

About my college

Remarks:

I didn't have any negative remarks until last year. So there was a mistake on my form fill up. I put the right details and selected my subjects. I have selected English as my MIL and submitted my form. But when I get the admit card I got to know that my MIL subject was selected as Assamese which I never selected. Then in the examination I gave the ex for English and didn't gave for Assamese as my subjects wasn't Assamese. I told the teacher who signed my examination copy he told that it will be fixed but on the results day I got to know that it was marked as absent in the MIL exam because I didn't sit for the Assamese examination which I did because I was English student. Then I asked them they said to get my sessional exam marks from the HOD of English department. I went to the HOD and she said that the copy in which they put the records is with the commerce head so I went to him. He said he didn't have the copy and told me to get to the HOD I went back to HOD she said she didn't have the copy. Both of them didn't have the copy for which I didn't able to fix the problem. It's not cool.
