Remarks

One of the main drawback of the college is the attitude of securities and staffs towars students. They are given high power in the campus and they misuse them. The security staffs being aware that the students have no voice, take advantage of such situations and try to degrade the student in every way they can.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course curriculum for the course i have chosen, i.e, Tourism and Travel management is more about adapting to different demands and to face various challenges in tourism and hospitality sector. The methods of teaching are lectures and presentation. Other teaching techniques include case study, field trip etc. The course lay very strong emphasis in development of communication skills and customer orientation. The exam structure includes three internal assesments which are known as CIA( Continuos Internal Assesment) and one final exam. Out of the three asssesments, one is a written exam out of 50 marks which is further calcualted out of 25 marks. The rest two can can be any type of assignment like presentation, report writing etc which are purely based upon the activites that are pre mentioned in the course plan. The total marks of the three assingments are calculated out of 65. The fibal examination is out of 50 which is again calculated out of 30 marks. The rest 5 marks is for the attendance.

Placement Experience

2

The placement here is the worst only 60 percent batch is placed that too with the help of some connections and family acquaintances. MNCs do visit the campus but rarely one or two get selected. Hardly a few seniors are placed. Companies are not interested due to the lack of knowledge among the students. Many seniors were not able to clear even the aptitude tests conducted by the companies. Every student is required to complete a intership after his completion of 2nd year for 45 days which i am yet to face.

College Events

3.5

Christ organizes a lot of fest like darpan, blossoms, ethnic day, extravaganza etc. on the campus.Several events, both collegiate and inter-collegiate, are held throughout the year, wherein, the students get to participate and increase their achievements. Darpan and blossoms are the cultural fest where students can showcase their talents in theatre, music, dance etc. Ethinic day as the same suggests is the day where people come in their own ethinic wears and everyone enjoys for a whole day with different activites conducted in campus.

Fee Structure And Facilities

On talking about my course, the fees is 75K which is a clearly feasible fee structure. But when u opt for most of the other courses, the fees is tooo expensive which makes it very difficult for the normal people.

Fees and Financial Aid

The University has an Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships. This office at Christ University recognizes meritorious students both in academics and co-curricular activities by means of awards and scholarships. It also helps financially weak students to pursue higher education.

Campus Life

4

Extracurricular activies are given atmost importance along with studies. But being a student of bannerghatta campus, there is no such ground to play. Student that are intrested in extra curricular activities are to go to the main campus for practices.

Alumni/Alumna

The senior students had always been helpful for me. Ever since i had started college, it was the seniors that tanught me more ablut the do's and dont's of the college. It was from them I gained more knowledge about the college and also they thought how you have to act keen in front of certain people. They were the most helplful people for me in college

Admission

The admission process starts off with registration in the online wbsite and then submissiom of 10th, 11th/12th marks card. Once the documents are verified, a date wold be instructed by the college where in you have to attend a entrance test and an interview. Students are selected based on their performances in both the tasks. Performamce in both the processes are taken in more consideration than the marks of 10th and 12th. The result would be published within midnight in their respective account.

Faculty

3.5

Not all faculties are good at Christ University. There are very good faculty members who enhance us in making our career the best, and there are even a few poor faculty members who are not very good at teaching as well. So, it depends on the faculty members. department of tourism has a good set of teachers who are well-qualified and adept at the topic at hand, research work and career, education as well as grievance guidance.
