Course Curriculum Overview

3

The course alone is not relevant but paired with other side courses can help a student get real life exposure. I opted for this as i wanted to get the basics of finance, investing, and economy in the real world. The course provides the necessary basics for the real world understanding about financial literacy etc The teachers are trying incorporate essential knowledge requirement regarding current affairs and problem solving skills so The teacher and teaching style matters a lot. The overall syllabus is very large and we do not have much time to balance everything. We are often overburdened with tests, assignments, attendance, presentations, and other society works. But early preparation of it can help.

Placement Experience

3

From the 5th sem the placement starts. Our college have a placement cell and the recruiters are Big four firms like KPMG, delloite etc Recent data update says it is around 6.47 lakhs to 6.5 lakhs and highest went till 23 lakhs if im not wrong. Students with CGPA 7.5 and above get to sit in the placement. My plan is simple, to make money.

Fees and Financial Aid

For first year i have paid a total amount ?34600 and i shall be paying the same throughout the other year as well. Other than the admission, i have paid for my exam enrollment and the amount came to 1310, and depending on the subject people have taken, some people paid 1710 (if I am not wrong) because their practical component were more. There are indeed some scholarships provided but I havent looked into it as i had already registered myself to Ishan Uday Scholoarship for North east student provided NSP. The amount is ?80000 for a year.

Campus Life

5

The NSS initiates lots of events where we invite other small start ups as well while trying to uplift the onces in our own colleges. The society workings are active and ive recently paid a visit to an NGO as well. This semester there will be main fest coming up and also The north east cell will organise the kherangbar(event) as well. So overall it provides a safe space for funsies. I usually read my general textbooks in library but I do notice journals, articles, magazines, and newspapers and various other books. I have not indulged myself in sports but we do celebrate sports day. We have different types of society which supports fashion, art, musics and recently they participated in the event happened in India Gate.

Admission

I applied for Delhi University only, wherein i were to select colleges and add it to my preference sheet. I kept alot of north campus college on top but my cutoff matched Daulat Ram College and hense got into it. We attempt CUET UG examination for admission . bcom hons is a highly demanded course so the cutoff are generally high.

Faculty

5

the ratio is decent and the commerce faculty is the most approachable faculty. We have a different whatsapp group for admin and students wherein the teachers and admin staffs to clear doubts of students directly if not mandatory to come to college's admin. It is just a click away. What i didnt like about it was that when it becomes necessary to be present physically and we are not able to contact the TIC members. There are so many confusions whether they are responsible to deal with the student's problem or not. So at last it is the students who is in confusion. otherwise the grievances are looked into fast. We occasionally have MCQ tests and class test but officially, if the college announces that there will be mid sem exams, then we have it or else we have class tests. And there is mandatory end sem exam. if there us practical componenr then we have practicL exam

Night Life

2

The college is safe, guarded by securites. As i dont stay in hostel, i wont be confidently say about the the nightlife in college as i go home before 5pm. There are gyks for hostel students and in hostel mess and also a separate garden. The hostel curfew starts from 7pm Famous places are paratha uncle and our college canteen.

Other Applied Colleges

Course Curriculum Overview:

Subjects like Law, Management, HRM and Economics really influence my choice for this course. The law and economics part was really something that garb my attention as well as excite me the most. It really helped in understanding HR policies in depth which helped me really world a lot. The curriculum should include more practical and technical subjects which will help in the corporate world too. The exam timings were usually 2 to 3 hours max. And the exam also doesn't come too hard to pass.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum of Janki Devi Memorial College is quiet relevant and covers the important areas of the subject in a structured way one of the reasons I preferred this course was it is designed according to Delhi University standards and the syllabus is recognise and useful for higher studies the combination of theory papers skill enhancement courses and internal assessment help in building clear understanding of the subject. The curriculum helps in writing resources and critical thinking skills which are useful not only in exams but also for future academic and professional work at the same time, I feel that adding move practical sessions, workshop, or more project based learning with me the course more engaging and closed to Real world applications. Exams are held in the form of internal assessment during semester and final University exam at the end.Exams schedule is manageable and the difficult level is moderate.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course ciriculum for bcom is good and covers major aspects like accounts, business law, management, ethics. It help understand the basic concepts and useful for future studies Ciriculum is relevant but somtimes it feel more theory based rather than a practical aprroach. More practical exposure and skill based subjects can be added There might be some needed improvement in teaching as we learn account's and management it feels boring teacher can make it interesting if theu improve their methods Exam happens every 4 month after the end semester the timing of exam is good my 1st sem happened at the December whole month the difficult was not much high my account paper was difficult as it was more tricky but the difficult was managable
