Course Curriculum Overview

5

The course curriculum is really relevant. It provides us with deep knowledge in various topics. It prepares us for further academic research works. We can apply our knowledge in real world. The frequency of exams is pretty good, and the timing is also sufficient. The exams are not very hard but requires us to have proper knowledge in the subject.

Internships Opportunities

5

The college has a placement cell, Vriddhi that support internship placements. There is also annual internship and carreer fair. Top companies - AIM group, agile capital services, zielhoch, Deloitte, wipro etc

Placement Experience

4

From the 5th semester students become eligible for campus placements. Highest package - 23.05 LPA, average package - 6.5 LPA. Nearly 10% of UG students get placements. After getting my degree i want to continue with MSc and then the research field.

Fees and Financial Aid

The year wise fees for my course (Bsc Hons zoology) is 37,100 rupees. The lab fees is about rupees 1,250, establishment fee is 500, student aid fund is 250, examination fee differs depending upon the papers chosen. The college has a feeling concession policy depending upon the amount of income of the family. There are a number of scholarships available like- central and state government scholarships, DU merit scholarships, OBC/SC/ST/EWS fee waiver schemes through National Scholarship portal.

Campus Life

5

A number of club activities, society activities takes place in the college. Manjari- the annual college fest, Jalsa - the diwali mela etc. Sports is also encouraged in the college through organizing inter college sports competition.

Admission

At first I got admission in Maitreyi college, DU in the same course. But then I upgraded and got this college. I preferred DRC because of its vibrant campus life. For the admission we need to appear for CUET, and based on the scores we can choose our preferred colleges. Overall admission process was quite smooth.

Faculty

5

College faculty is really very helpful, including both teaching and non teaching staff. They are all friendly, full of knowledge and approachable. All our teachers have a very teacher- student relationship. For exams, We have class tests, mock practicals and the final practical and theory papers.

Night Life

3

DRC has a well maintained library, a gym, a big playground, canteen etc. The campus timings is from 8:15 to 5:30. Hostels are safe as they have out timings only till 7 in the evening. Famous hangout places are the lawn in front of the college, the canteen, paratha spot near the college etc. Night life around the college is not very safe.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course can be a little bit too, overwhelming as the curriculum is really outdated as compare to what skills are required in the real world, but the introduction of SEC and VAC subjects have really helped add value to the course

Placement Experience:

Placemenets of the overall colleges are good, especially for commerce related streams, however for science streams they are just well. Highest package varies around 12-15lpa and average is 5-9lpa. 60% students get placed while others either prefer higher studies or get rejected. I plan to go for higher studies.

Placement Experience:

The placement cell of Hansraj College is quite active. You are eligible to sit for campus placement offers from 5th semester onwards. Companies like Deloitte, capgemini arw frequent recruiters for several posts and positions. The highest offered package is somewhere around 22000 with the average being at 700000-800000. Not all students get placed on campus, however thr hands on training and learning makes you industry ready, making you eligible amd worthy to apply for off campus placement opportunities. Many students prefer not to sit for campus placements and rather opt for higher studies after graduation. I plan to do the same after getting my undergraduate degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I think the BSc Statistics (H) offered by Sri Venkateshwara College has been quite relevant and comprehensive in content. The core courses such as probability, inference, regression, and econometrics were the major reasons for opting for the subject of statistics. It provides us in-depth analytical training that is necessary for higher education and work in the field of data, though there is a need for exposure to software/tools as well. The semester-wise examination, which is moderately tough

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is just like any other college, and you need to do a lot of the skill enhancement by yourself. Here, you will learn something, but not everything that is relevant. The professors will teach according to the syllabus, be it really relevant in real life or not. Everything that you will be learning will be relevant for career in this field, but not enough. You require to put some extra efforts to gain more knowledge and practice.
