Course Curriculum Overview
Wel, there are many reasons awa firstly coming from Arts I felt I should choose something which opens maximum doors. Economics Hons definitely provides most career paths and therefore I took this. However one has to have certain numbers in entrance as well as 12th to be able to qualify for this.
Internships Opportunities
Banks and consulting groups as these are the two core branches for us and we get enough intenrships opportunities from our university that we don't have to search elsewhere. Lucky that we have enough opportunities for it as intenrships are the best learning curves in academics life.
Placement Experience
From Economics Hons around 130 students our of 180 gets campus placements. From Consulting Firms, to IT companies to top private banks like the Icici and HDDC bank hire DTU students with an annual contract of 5 lakhs or so.
Fees and Financial Aid
DTU is known for its Economics Hons program and batch has a strict policy of taking just 180 students. More than half are general category students and their fees is 1.16 lakhs evey year and it has been notified that it will keep increasing by 10k every year. Also, scholarships here are minimal at DTU.
Campus Life
Our campus has a reading room, library too has a reading area and then are two parks and one sports field. Classrooms are high-tech and labs and recreational facilities are also great. Most importantly our university gates are guarded by guards 24*7 and no entries for outsiders is ensured. Also, we have a large number of events all around the year.
Admission
Admission process in our college is something which depends on demand and supply. First choice for most students are DU colleges as fees is less and plus that's more hyped. DTU though stay away from limelight but operates with lesser seats than DU colleges and for me, my first choice being a Delhi boy was DTU.
Faculty
In standings our economics Hons faculties are above any DU college. So, they are high and rich in experience and definitely highest when it comes to having academic acumen. They are always presentable and also urged students to be presentable as that is their main thing. Since they have worked in corporates so they know how big a role that plays.
Night Life
PVR Prashant Vihar, Rithala Metro Station Walk and some malls are also nearby. Rest we explore other areas of Delhi as there's not much near East Campus. Cafe DTU and Himalayan Cafe are the only two cafes that we have near our college.
