Reality of MAIT

Honestly, the course is really old. Some part of it is okay, but the rest is very basic. The standards are so low that if a person doesn't learn anything from outside the college and only studies college curriculum, he won't get a good placement.

The placements of my college are really okayish. There has been a stark fall in the standards of our college placements. Every year, lesser and lesser companies are coming to offer placements. Moreover, the placement cell tries to exploit the desparation of the students.

We are told the complete break down of the fee structure. Fees is paid through the portal and they just show the amount, i.e., Rs. 145400. Other than this, the training and placement cell takes a fees of 4000 for sitting in the placement drives. All this is taken in cash.

The cultural clubs are really good. There are clubs for each and every interest of people. Every club is really active and earn a lot of achievements for the college. But very little respect is given to those clubs by the college administration and faculty also.

To get admission in this college, I had to apply through the GGSIPU portal. I chose this college because it was the best one I could get with CS branch in my rank. My other options were DTU, but I was being offered Mechanical or Civil there.

In every department, there are approximately 60 students in a class and for each class, one mentor is appointed. Apart from that there are many teachers who do not have any class appointed to them. So roughly, the teacher to student ratio would be 1:40.

There are no night life inside our campus. Nobody is allowed to stay inside after 6pm. There are some cool food joints for every type of food around the college. But this college is in an unsafe area, so I wouldn't suggest going there after dark.
